It was great to see Tony Stewart make an appearance with the IRA last night at PDTR. Unlike too many phonies in the racing game, Smoke has only one agenda, WIN RACES. Napcar fans that have never attended a sprint car race on dirt were shown what real racing is all about. The stands were packed, they only ran 360 and 410 sprints, and the show was run smooth, unfortunately the 360 A- main was rained out. Balog showed Stewart the way around the race track for 24 of the 30 laps. Then Stewart caught Balog in lapped traffic, the last 6 laps were an epic battle as they swapped slide jobs, until Stewart got the upper hand. Thanks to Stewart and Balog for putting on a great battle. Anyone that thinks Balog has been winning races with the use of traction control, can you finally put that ridiculous thinking to rest.

Awesome show last night. Thanks to the IRA running the show fast as just after the feature the rains came. Never seen Plymouth so packed and hopefully some of them come back for another show.

If anything it shows that he is running T.C. When tony got around him he was walkin away from Balog, then all of the sudden Balog comes on like a freight train running the same line. He can only do this at an IRA show, if he runs somewhere else where Im guessin T.C. is better policed, like the Oulaws, he looks like complete dog crap. Other than that yeah it was an awesome show, cant get any better than that can't beat an all sprint show.

Ridiculous show last nite at Plymouth. Great to see the stands jammed and the fans saw some awesome racing for the lead. I disagree with racingfish, I thought Balog and Stewart had pretty equal cars, lapped traffic seemed to be the difference in Stewart getting past Balog. Either way great battle for the lead, and had the fans on their feet. Smoke said it best, if you didn't like that racing, you don't have a pulse.

Tony might even be willing to show you his traction control. All he has to do is remove his right shoe.

Im guessing most of you dont leave the area to watch sprint car racing. Ive seen Balog run against cars that are equal to what Tony had last nite and Balog cant make it out of the B-main. But when he comes back to the IRA that car is flyin, I guess putting 1 and 1 together for some people is too hard to figure out.

Here's a 1 plus 1 for ya...
Balog is a step above most IRA teams right now, and just a step below most WoO teams. Not too hard to figure out, is it?

Its not a question of why balog is so good its why is everyone else so bad? Anytime a traveler shows up to an Ira event they wipe the floor with the regulars. Keep in mind racing with the all-stars and Woo theres alot more talent and money involved. Theres a reason those guys are racing for a living.

Thats funny when the Allstars were at wilmot he was the fastest car in the A!
he is almost as fast as anybody at the tracks he is familar with.he knows he needs to learn how to read tracks he has never been to before. Karl kinser said knowing what the track is going to do is half the battle.

All I know is IRA is starting to lose fans. I have talked to MULTIPLE people that have decided to not come to the races anymore because they are sick of seeing the same thing. Maybe its time to add an additional incentive to Balog (extra $1000 if he can tag the tail and win or something along those lines)? Or put a "bounty" out to any team that can beat him?

What? Losing fans, that is ridiculous. Is the WoO losing fans, because Donny Schatz wins all of the time? Absolutely not. How about NASCAR and Jimmie Johnson? Nope. I'm all for putting a bounty on him, but I don't see any of the regulars beating him. They are all blue collar racers, which is great IMO. Only guy that is going to beat him is some new blood in the series, such as a young kid with aspirations to go on to the next level and travels outside of the series some. Balog has already proven over the last 5 years that Neitzel, Reinke, etc. Aren't going to touch him. Cheating in a 410 does nothing unless you can drive it . He's just better and the other guys will continue to follow him unless they expand their schedules. Repetition! Works the same in every part of life.

It happens all across this country and it's nothin new. Someone gets a step up one the rest of his competitors and I don't care what type of car or what series it's in, the crumbling starts. You're right, Balog is going to keep handing it to em until either someone can step up and take it away or he loses his desire and sponcers....http://www.billbalog.com/

It's kind of like in NASCAR, with that bunghole JJ winning all the time, it gets old. Sprint Car racing is different. Maybe it's time the other teams STEP it up. Balog has it figured out, while the others are just spinning their wheels, literally......

Ummm... Idk if you have noticed but NASCAR has been losing more and more fans every year. Next time you watch a NASCAR race take a look at the stands. There are beginning to be bigger and bigger empty spots up there. World of Outlaws is a little different story because Schatz doesnt win every single race every single week. Sometimes fans like going into a show not knowing who is going to win it, let alone mop the floor... Its like paying for a movie when you have already seen the ending.

You are so correct, I used to love watchin NAPCAR. I gave up watchin it because all it is is the jimmie and kyle show. Its like the other 41 drivers aren't there. The IRA is slowly moving that way also. Yeah they will pull in a couple travelers for outside the area, but for the most part all the IRA has become is the Bill Balog appreciation tour. Thats why this weekend Im gonna drive 11 hours to River Cities to watch an outstanding race instead of the 45min drive to Oshkosh to watch Balog win. Its only time before more people start thinkin this way also.
