iI am starting to worry about the Port Royal car count next year heard they may be losing at least four cars.
Word is Heimbach12 is going back to 360,Nate Snyder 56 already went back to 360,Davey Sammons 747 might retire,Dave Ely3 maybe URC.

No word yet on Esh07,Erdly98,Wolfe1/5w,Lafferty 0,Dewease14/? or if Shaffer returns in chip car?

Marks plans to travel more and with Heffner at Selinsgrove what happens with Hodnett?

Yes, your right car counts may drop at Port Royal and at other tracks , or sanctioning groups . But right now far as Port Royal goes I do know that Lucas Wolfe will return in the 1 car , Greg Hodnett will return to Port but may run a 360 at Selinsgrove in some higher paying races  , his schedule will be a lot like last year I am told .
I also look for a few more to join NSL , leave the All Stars and maybe leave the WoO .All Star fees are going up , which may cause a few to leave them as well .

The one race I was surprised about was the All Stars are not at the Port for the Weikert memorial next year.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

BS. Who I is leaving the All Stars for the NSL?.They just finished one of their best years ever. Under Tony Stewart, this group is better than ever (look at cars counts for our Speedweek). I'm calling BS on that one Bob. 2016 for the All Stars should be great. Happy Thanksgiving.

I was told by a source and I 'd rather not mention his name that some drivers were not happy with the All Stars raising the membership fees  , so they were considering leaving them to race elsewhere locally or race somewhere . Yes, All stars had a good year , but then can some teams continue to pay or travel with WoO ? So  they could lose a few possibly , have wait  and see? And then the NSL is increasing his purses plus starting  a 360 goup , so that is more options versus a lot  of travel ?

I think those are the kind of statements on here that get you in hot water with people. These mainly Ohio-based teams are not going to tow all the way to SD or Iowa each weekend to run with the NSL. Tony Stewart and his AS management team will take good care of his teams. I think your "source" is full of it.

Agreed, Tony Stewart's fame has brought the Allstars to a new level of exposure. I know Tony isn't hurting for money so these fee increases are probably necessary to grow and improve the series as a whole. Anyone who can't afford the fee increases probably couldn't afford to be traveling full time with a series anyway. Did your source happen to mention what teams are thinking of switching from the Woo or Allstars to the NSL? Even though you may not like the Woo product Robert, most drivers consider being a Woo driver the pinnacle of Sprintcar racing. These guys are not switching their life long dreams over some fee increases. I will be very surprised if any full time Woo or Allstar team switches to the NSL and sites fee increases as the reason why.

It could happen that some WoO do switch as a few did last year . But I should explain it that some All Star drivers may consider staying local or race a pick and choose schedule , because of costs . It has nothing to do with me not liking the WoO organization ,it was what I was told . Lets  realize this ,the teams can't continue with high costs no matter where you race .  And I am not trying to argue but its a possiblity because if any team based in midwest could switch to NSL cause they race more local within 4 states or so . I agree that Tony Stewart's name has brought a level of exposure to the All Stars . Nothing would surprise me due to costs of running a team now days . Just look at it locally by July teams have trouble making races , costs and other things to compete .

I am sorry I meant to say stay local or a pick and choose schedule not to run from Ohio , I was told the fees jump pretty good compared to previous year fee .

First I heard of Heimbach going to 360's or Sammons and Ely. Dewease's car owner is calling it quits and I don't think Lance has a ride as of yet. He ran more @ Lincoln the last couple years anyway. Every year we go through turnover like this but the cars keep coming from somewhere. Usually for every car lost another one moves up to 410's. Hopefully that will be the case again next year.

90% of the All-star races are within 4 local states also. Travelling west to run with the NSL would be a lot more travelling for teams that are mostly based in OH(2 from PA).

You're  right but it appears some from both the ALL STARS  and WoO  will move locally or elsewhere  because of costs .

And who actually switched last year....Dollansky lost his ride to Gravel.  Roth left altogether and is now back.  Darrah lost his ride with Kahne.  swindell was already done.  If you are going to make a statement please make sure its truthful.  No one left the WoO last year because they wanted to run a different series.  im not saying it won't happen because it happens all the time but please use facts.

Your first sentence is false, not 1 driver left the Woo because they wanted to switch to another series. Darrah left because Kasey Kahne could not secure sponsors to field a third car, and Steve Kinser left because he retired from full time series racing, so no it did not happen last year.

Robert I will not be mean or degrading to you anymore but I will point out why so many react to you that way.

When you take rumor or a bit of a conversation and then start a thread on Hoseheads and make statements that you really have no facts support, (refer to your first sentance) and I then when others who read it tell you why it isn't true you start to change what you initially posted. Bottom line you have no facts to support your statement. If you do please tell me what drivers are considering switching due to fees?

If you can answer me one question, and please think before you type, why did you start this thread? Was it to inform Hoseheads readers about the increased cost of Sprintcar racing? Or was it to let Hoseheads know that some drivers don't have rides and it could effect car counts at Port? EVERYONE KNOWS THAT SPRINTCAR RACING IS EXPENSIVE AND CONTINUES TO GET MORE EXPENSIVE. This is a fact, repeatedly making threads about it on Hoseheads will not change it. Fact #2 EVERY YEAR SOME DRIVERS LOSE THEIR RIDES AND IT COULD EFFECT CAR COUNTS. This is true and constant at every track across the country not just Port. FACT 3. SOME TRACKS HAVE BETTER FACILITIES THAN OTHERS. This does not make one track better than another, just the way it is.

Unfortunately for you Robert, these facts can't be changed by starting threads or making comments on Hoseheads, the people who are working to make a difference do not start threads on Hoseheads to brag about why they are a fan, those people gave others writing about them. Fred Rahmer does not get on here and list all his contacts to try to prove he is who he says he is, his actions do the talking.

I hope you actually put all your ideas into action and actually do somthing to help Sprintcar racing, and I hope I read an article or thread that talks about all the hard work you have done to help, until then Robert, your just blowing hot air and to be honest you end up looking foolish.

Before your next thread, think about what you reason for posting is. If it has anything to do with facilities and what you think should be changed, or how the Woo should be changed or how costs need to be lowered or car counts, don't bother, everyone is quite aware of all these things and everytime you post the same old same old and then smugly act like you have the answers, it tends to piss people off and make you a target.

I swore I would never responded negatively to one of your threads again, and I tried to be as polite as possible, if you still don't get it Robert, your on your own. Know this Robert, if any of these promoters, drivers or owners that you have such high respect for were to read your posts and threads on here, they will never take you seriously.

And you said that last year WoO drivers/teams had switched to other series as the basis for them continuing to do that this year.  And you were called out on listing something as a fact that was empirically not factual.  Last year, no one "switched" from the Outlaws to race another series.  The only team in the last 2 years to do this as a whole is the Big Game team well over a year ago, which is owned by the owner of a regional series.  And that wasn't even a switch....the teams were folded up and drivers let go.  Then a new team was started for Lasoski to run Knoxville/NSL and Blaney was given financial support and equipment to start a team to run the All-Stars after the team he drove for folded.

So what you know and state as factual, is actually not.

Sammons hurt his back again last year and has most of his stuff for sale in Area Auto,Dewease ran just about every race at Port after July. Talked to some people from Selinsgrove and they said Heimbach said he planed on going back their next year.I rely on Gators for alot of info and he said the last he heard nothing was definite on the chip car.

Dewease has stated he has nothing at this point, Will the Zemco car run every week again word is the 5w needs help or they wont race.

Dave Hahn not a big name but he retired.

Dave Ely goes back and forth from 360 and 410.

Havent heard anything on Lafferty.
