I-80 will host the NSL Fearless Outlaw 410 Finale on October 2 & 3 featuring the King of the Outlaws Steve Kinser.

October 2- National Sprint League ($3,000 to win & $500 to start), Nebraska 360's (Heats & Position Races), Bragging Rights Late Models ($1,000 to win & $100 to start), Mod Lite (Heats and Position Races)
October 3 - National Sprint League ($7,000 to win & $1,000 to start), Nebraska 360 ($2,500 to win & $500 to start with Double Down Option), unsanctioned B Mods ($1,000 to win & $100 to start), Mod Lites $2,000 to win.

I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE. Friday Oct 2nd and Saturday October 3rd...

Happy to see that they could afford the appearance fees.

Any clue on potential car counts? Closest race to Denver, but still a major drive....

So much for major series working with tracks to honor their big races. Didn't see NSL running against the big races at Knoxville or Eldora but they didn't hesitate to run against the Williamsgrove National Open!! Especilly this year when they went to 3 days and more money in hope of building this event to a level of Knoxville or bigger.

Really,,level of Knoxville or bigger and your blaming the NSL. How many cars from the NSLarea would come to Williamsgrove??

I love the National Open, I'll be there this year.  I-80 Speedway is 1,100 miles from Williams Grove.  If there was no race at I-80 this weekend, you'd MAYBE see 1-4 (Brown, McCarl, Lasoski, Zomer) guys at the Grove.  Chances are, you'd see zero.

Also, if the Grove (and other central PA) tracks want to complain about this, maybe they should stop racing Friday and Saturday night of the Knoxville Nationals or Kings Royal weekend.  It goes both ways.

Finally, as stated above, I love the National Open.  But it will never be in the same conversation as the Knoxville Nationals. The Open is a great event at a track with a richer history than Knoxville, but the event will never be looked at (by most all non-PA people) as even close to what the Nationals are.

How many cars does this affect? I think the NSL has done a pretty good job their inagural year. Can't make everyone happy, including Possee.

Come on guys, I did not go public this past winter and announce that: We (NSL) are not organizing to compete with WOO, or the Allstars, but to work with them for the betterment of 410 racing.  Sure these two events are 1100 miles apart,but it is a sanctioned race and the top 4, 6, or 10 racaers out there will not even consider the Grove. Top teams bring people, more people makes an event grow. If we all don't give an event like this a chance, how will we ever know how big it can become.  And as far as the eastern tracks running on Knoxville & Eldora nites, these are regular shows (no special high paying events) for the weekend racers that can't afford or don't want to go to these events. Regular shows are run all the time, all over the US when big races are going on.

Yea they're competing events, but I don't see a whole lot of conflict from 1100 mles away. National Open is mostly Posse & Outlaws, NSL is more Great Plains

Damn, better not schedule races when races are scheduled in California either, I guess.

If the National Open paid like Knoxville then you would be closer to having a point. Until then, there is zero reason to have any expectation of those teams to consider traveling cross country and having regional sanctions not schedule against it. 

I remember them saying they wouldn't compete with the WoO when "they were in the area".  PA is hardly considered in the area of the midwest (at least by any map I've seen.)

NSL didn't run against the midwest swing of the WoO and probably wouldn't have against the All-Stars (don't remember a midwest swing this year).  They didn't run last weekend when the WoO was scheduled for Spencer, IA and Deer Creek, MN either.

Should the KWS shut down when the NSL has a race 1500 miles away?  SHould the WoO shut down when the NSL has a big race in the midwest and they are running a standard $10000 to win show 5 states away?  No, it makes no sense to.

Last I checked, the NSL was working with teh WoO, All-Stars, Knoxville, Huset's, etc. for the betterment of 410 racing in the midwest (which seems to match what their goal was when they announced the NSL).

Actually the NSL ran in Fairmont, MN on August 21st - which was the same night the WoO was in Grand Forks, ND at River Cities Speedway.  I found that to be in direct conflict with the WoO considering that's only about about 6 hours away.  Dobmeier and Zomer raced in GF but undoubtedly would have been in Fairmont with the NSL had it not been for the conflict.

But overall the NSL has done a good job of not conflicting with other series, that was just the one major instance I noticed - although I was dissappointed since I attended the WoO race and thought there could have been more NSL cars there if they had not been racing that night.

You are all missing the point. If the NSL was not running on 10/1, 10/2, & 10/3, how many of the teams that supports them would come run for $50,000? Also, if this race got established, how many fans from 1100 miles & more would book their vacations to come see this event. There is no argument here people, Knoxville is a premier event and race team & fans from all over the U.S. and abroad support it. Plus all major race tracks and 410 organiztions support it. Why can't another premeir event have the same respect & support?

I'd say that there are so many grammatical errors on this site, that it is impossible to say which region has market cornered for certain.

By the way, you forgot to capitalize Pennsyltucky.

I understand your reasoning why eastern tracks run against the Nationals and the King's Royal. What I don't understand, is why they don't make them non points races, so the drivers that want to go to the Nationals and Royal don't get penalized for going. i guess maybe I-80 and the NSL are borrowing a play from the Grove and other eastern track's playbook. 

At at least they didn't take away drivers that had already committed to the Grove and were already advertised to be at the Grove.
