Will Rico beat the Posse this weekend?

After he is done playing with the midgets this week... Rico is running twin 20s at the Grove Friday night, Port Royal on Saturday and Susquehanna on Sunday. Four opportunities. Will he be able to pick up a win? His buddy Kyle Larson struggled mightily in his inaugural trip to the Keystone State.

Gonna have to say no for the first trip.  I think his best chance is susky but Dietrich is so tough there.  Kyle larson is the best talent ive ever seen in a sprint car and he had some troubles especially at the grove. Pa tracks are quirky for newbies.. I love watching these talents come to wg for the first time.

I think his best chance will come at Port, even though the Grove has twin 20s.  I still say it's gonna be tough with Hodnett, Wolfe, Marks, Budkwalter, and Dewease. Plus you throw in guys like Wagners and Mike Erdley and I can see this being a difficult 410 trip for a Rico. Lets just hope he qualifies and runs the race because, quite honestly, I don't want to hear any more bitching and complaining about Knoxville.  If he wins...... that'd be great.  I have Posse Pride, but I have no problem giving credit whem it's due.

Might have to pull for a Toyota with black wheels tonight.  The guy is awesome.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

The top at Susky is always marginal.  Probably wont win there.  Give him a decent cush and its all over just like Kyle.  If they water properly he will win.  NASCAR is a stain on humanity only the Cross of Calvary can fix.

Johnny Utah is the closest I'm guessing.  I saw a couple of odd winners at the Port over the years, Brad Furr and Danny Wood being a couple of them,  so that would be his best chance methinks.

I don't have a clue but definitely curious. Saw the last 2 excellent midget races (Rico on a roll!), was planning on heading to visit friends in Ohio for a few days, then on to Kokomo. Now I'm debating sticking around Pa. a while longer

Looks like Susky is gonna rain out tonite... any official word?

Friday will be tough as all the big guns will be in one place and the Grove is a weird track. Saturday he'll be just fine; the All-Stars run well there. His motor hits as well as any in the country and he won't be racing against Stevie, Montieth, Dietrich, Marks, Krimes and others that night. Sunday he'll be up there as well. Although last I heard some big names may be passing on Sunday because of recent track conditions and correlated injuries... Time will tell. Regardless, he already has himself a massive fanbase in this area.

Absolutely. I will bet he picks up 2 wins, he's that good in a sprint car. That coupled with the fact the Posse is over hyped and not as good as they think... he will have a good trip barring any mechanical issues.

Don't know who 'they' is in your posse bashing comment, but...4 posse drivers in the Nationals A main, hard charger award in the A main, and 1 seeing the track for the first time ever finishing one spot behind Reutzel for the ROY award. I'd say that's fairly good for porch dwellers. How many of your homeboys can we expect to see at the National Open in Oct?

On further thought, don't think he'll win, seems to be better at wingless, but who knows?

I'll be at the Grove tonite

Not bashing, there is just a stigma that they are unbeatable out here... and I don not think that is true. You are right, they are always competitive, however. I am from Pennsylvania, so these would be my "homeboys", however realistically they can and will be beat by a talent like Rico.

Not saying he won't win at least 1....probably best shot will be at Suskie....

He finished 8 in feature one wasn't really moving forward but the leader blew up and another car broke.  Started 3 in feature two and finished 5. Tough track to pass on all night but kudos for hanging in there, nice to have him here
