Me with sensitive ears? Now THAT is funny. I just call it like I see it. I just find it extraordinarily childish that we get to see one of the country's best talents run a sprint car for the first time in Pa and people bash him because he didn't come in and set the world on fire even though he has looked very good. You'd think that the recent tragedy at the Grove and Kevin Swindell's potentially life altering injury would help people to realize how much respect each and every driver who races whether it's Donny Schatz or Troy Fraker deserves but I guess that only applies to people who haven't succombed to the Pa Posse ego disease. I don't care how he does, I'm just glad he's here and we get to see him in a real race car before he signs his life away to NASCRAP. Rico ran 4th last night in his very first trip to Eldora. He passed the highest finishing Posse car at Knoxville who is also the current Port Royal point leader. That's pretty impressive to me. I can guarantee you one thing, Danny Dietrich or Greg Hodnett won't be able to crawl in a midget and run 4th at the chili bowl.

I just realized for some reason my spell check turn Port Royal into Eldora lol. Stupid ass predictive text. Meant to say he ran 4th at Port

I bet he wins susky tonight.

He'll certainly make the show.  They might even draw 15 cars at Suckski tonight.   I'll never go back to see a race at that one lane dustbowl again.

16 cars at Susky. Dietrich crashed with one to go trying to pass Hodnett for the lead. Hodnett won.

Rico finished 2nd. Hats off for running Central PA. Fans were much obliged.

Posse 27: 48 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and missed and was crushed beneath Goliath’s mighty right foot.

Rico held his own in the 410s, did much better than Larson in Pa., not even Schatz could beat the Posse in July. If you missed the 2 midget races, you missed some great competition & Rico beat everybody... hope USAC midgets come back next summer, I'll be there!

.... actually I was more impressed with him than Larson's visit a few years ago

Wonder what the amount of crossover was between those who voted "yes" in this poll and those who voted for Obama twice?

The kid is the real deal and held his own against what many feel is the toughest local 410 competition in the US. Not too shabby!

Pretty sure most rational folks give the toughest locals title for 2015 to Knoxville and rightly so. These things aren't a constant they're flux. Right now there just isn't an overall stronger weekly field in the country than Knoxville.

Cheers!

As for Rico, I'd say he did more than even he expected in PA. He won in the midgets in spectacular fashion and ran his 410 up front in his first PA trip. That's impressive by any drivers standards. The fact is WG is a weird track and it would take many, many laps around that place to get comfortable. He seemed to adapt to it pretty quickly and that speaks volumes of his talent.

Cheers!

Midget races were great, I only caught the Grove in 410s. When he passed Monteith at the end, I think he proved his point. Usually Monteith does the passing in Pa.

Find it more amazing out of 2500 views, only 25 people voted. Probably means only 1% of people sign in, the other 99% only come on to read and never post. They should allow anyone to vote on a poll whether they sign in to Hoseheads or not.

Have to say I agree. You're right, it does alternate back and forth over time but right now, Knoxville has without a doubt the toughest local competition in the country. At the end of the last decade and the beginning of this one, Central Pa was because we still had some of the older guys who were still winning (Rahmer, Shaffer, Etc.) Then the younger guys like Marks and Dietrich who were coming into their own and making noise plus the guys like Layton and Montieth who were in their prime and Henderson, Pittman and Walker were all regulars here. With the retiring of several prominent car owners and drivers since then, we aren't what were. Still very tough and our record against the WoO proves that but the amount of cars capable of beating the Outlaws has definitely declined. A lot of the owners who retired haven't been replaced and neither has the drivers who retired. The future is definitely bright though. Austin Hogue, the Rahmer boys, Chase Dietz just to name a few are getting better and better each week in the 410's and will be making some noise sooner rather than later. Logan Wagner is already starting to come into his own and we have several young guys in the 358's (Matt Campbell is gonna be real good when he moves up to 410's), 305's (Jeff Miller and Tyler Reeser) and micros who may have what it takes when they hit the big leagues.

So your saying that someone who thinks pa is tougher than knoxville is irrational? Give me a break. The gap isn't that big,  if there is even a gap.  How many knoxville guys can win a show anywhere? Probaly 5-6.  How many pa guys can win anywhere? Probaly 5-6.  So dont

give me this rational fan crap.
