How does Donny shatz not make the dash, has to run the B-feature and than start 11th in the A. And than he drives by everyone on the track like they are a 2nd rate team? And goes on to get the win for the WOO feature? These other top 10 cars are just as good so how does he drive by them so easly?

He's fun to watch on Race Monitor the first half of the race everyone is the
same speed but then with 10-15 laps to go he's all of a sudden .5 to .7 a lap
faster than everyone ahead of him.

Might he get better yet? Still has a little bit of a problem with fans I think, not sure of how he can be A++ during interviews and the like but with fans after the race still a ways to go. Actually seems to be shy around fans. BUT, this is some great sprint car history. A hell of a driver and yet as said by most drivers and writers the cleanest driver out there. Anywho, congratulations to Donny Schatz and crew.

Well it is simple , he is a good driver, but he has the best crew chief in the country when it comes to sprint cars . Secondly he tested more with these Hoosier tires then the other guys and appears to no the in"s and out's to set up with these new Hoosier tires , they not the same ones they use to use .

speaking of him starting 11th......does anyone else have an issue with a guy (not just Shatz) getting his time back when he can't transfer through a heat? It's always been a pet peeve of mine. Maybe the B main cars can tag the rear & start heads up there based on their B main finish. There should be some advantage going to the drivers that can transfer out of their heat

Not knocking Donny Schatz but how can one driver dominate the other top sprint car teams in the country the way he has. I can't believe it's all driver because these other guys are top drivers too and to be dominated by him the way he has leads me to believe he has some edge that no one else has figured out. What is the status of traction control these days. Nobody use, everybody use it, or maybe just Donny uses it. Your comments appreciated.

Agreed again. Qualifying should only set up the heat races. Its completely idiotic to have your entire night dictated by 2 laps.

Bingo! He had to run the B main & started 21st! If he wins from there, more power to him, but it should be some kind of disadvantage to run the B.

me personally, not a fan of time trials at all, but yeah the B main cars tag the rear of the field. But if the Outlaws didn't baase their whole line up on qualifing times, you would have them getting beat by the locals more often, can't have that now can we. hmmmm

Really? Someone should purposely crash the cleanest racing driver on the tour? That would make them as popular as a turd in a punch bowl with their fellow WoO drivers. Speaking of turds in punch bowls.........

Schatz has won 49 Outlaw races in the last 2 years. Only 13 guys have more WoO wins in their entire careers. One of the best of all time.

How does that make one bit of sense? If the locals time we'll they will start up front, right? The locals should have the advantage since they race on that track all year, the locals should dominate time trials and the rest of the night, but they dont, so please explain again how the Outlaws basing their lineup on time trials keeps the locals from winning.

You knew these type of posts would happen after his 26th win. Credit his wins to the format, what bullshiite or he must be cheating or dis or dat, whatever, don't give him any credit. Gawd, the Kinser groupies have to be in mourning. AND not a surprise that the word Schatz isn't in the title of any of these posts. Yeah, get this off your mind as quickly as possibly, pretend it didn't happen, pray that next year starts tomorrow.

You guys are all for the B main guys tagging the rear until it's your favorite local driver that times 3rd and dosnt transfer through his heat, then your guy wins the B and starts 23rd, you would be blaming the Outlaws for screwing your driver. The qualifying rules are the same for everyone, they don't favor any particular driver.
