Saldana wins it
Madsen, K. Kinser, McMahan, Darrah
Race was shortened to 25 laps
Final yellow brought out, not the normal green white finish... but a green flag one lap finish
Wonder why? curfew?

Track conditions so bad that they have to go green checker finish instead of normal green-white-checker?
That's a new one for me

If the track was so bad that no one could pass then how did Schatz go to the back because they made him go to the pits and put on a new tire and he came from the back to 9th in 8 laps, if it would have gone the full 30 he would have gotten a top 5. What a screwed up outfit that makes up the rules as they go.

from audio it sounded like all of the tires were bald and if they went 30 laps there would have been blown tires every lap. Saldana tires were bald. That is why Donny S. came from back to 9th was because he had new tires, every one else was bald.

as a fan that was there IT WAS STILL A GOOD NIGHT....the heats were the best heats I have seen a long time which was the first sign the track was slicking off add might tack rubber and go south in the feature....and it did the last few laps of the B it started to....they tried to till and add water to the top before the A....and I have no problem waiting while they tried something because I knew what was coming...there was some big moves the first couple laps then the rubber laid in hard...they were still trying and still good tight racing just single file...I had no problem with them cutting the race short those last few laps would have been nothing more than a tire blowing fest to drag out what was a good night....I have seen good races at alot of tracks and rubber races at those same tracks over the years just part of deal....ready for next year allready because you never know.....

one more thing for all those posters wanting to blame the WoO for the track conditions this track has a habit of doing this even on a regular night when it is just the stock cars...I'm not dfending the WoO but I go to every sprint race at that track...champ, ascs, outlaw and most of them have been rubber down in the end the first 2 outlaw races and one or two of the ascs races weren't but the rest were...they just keep it that hard for some reason...they wheel pack with 10 wheelers and don't leave ruts even when it is standing in water..

Thanks MJS34. Appreciate the factual, sensible, realistic comments. Often a rare finding on these posts.

I'm disapointed that the race didn't go the entire 30 laps as scheduled. However after the effort put forth with lots of water and tilling and reworking, who would have guessed that it would have slicked off and taken rubber like it did. Obviously the officials and crews were caught by surprise on how fast it changed. Does Hooser even make a tire compound hard enough to have withstand 30 or more laps under the conditions they faced? If so, and one of the teams chose to run it, would it be fair to say that they were cheated out of a win?

The heat races were great,,the feature was horible. Donny S was able to move from the back to 9th because he had a new right rear tire. I looked at sevral right rear tires after the race and the only one with any tread left was Daryn Pittman. What Steve K did with a bald right rear was amazing

Just wondering why - when they know the track is going to be like that... that they don't let the teams run new tires for the feature? That way the fans would get the length of race they paid to see.
And BTW - I was there and told my son before the A that the top would be OK but the rest of the track would lock down and that's exactly what happened. Nobody ran the top *that they worked on for nearly an hour* at all -- everybody ran the middle on down and the smell of rubber was thicker than that of weed at Woodstock.
