Moss Racing Engines No one is making power like them right now.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Depends alot on who is real with you, I spent alot of time searching for a a good engine builder/machinist, you need someone to stand behind thier product and understand your goals/objective, alot of guys will sell you a motor, tell you to bolt it in and if you have any likes or dislikes "great buy another", or if not "tuff sh*t", I really recomend calling around,do a self interview so to speek, most of the responces on here will be repuitable builders, im not sure there is one that builds a good 360 and not a good 410? or vice versa. I would keep in mind where tou'll be running frequently and the EEZ of contact with them, NOBODY likes to sell a slug to a local.. it will cost them in thier reputation and time, definetly dont go with a builder that doesnt know what a ASCS brodix head is, stay away from that, stick with the National Tour guys builders or compairable builders in the "sprint" industry, Injection on 1400lbs can act way different that a carbed stockcar luggn 2300lbs around . many are good, just stick with the ones that have Facts behind thier product, and better yet, the one that treats you the best.

I could buy from anybody that builds a "decent" motor whether its an ASCS 360 or a 410. I would worry about having my car rolling good 1st. All the power in the world can't justify a race car that's not getting a hold of anything and using the power!
do it in the dirt

There's quite a few good engine builders out there now a days.
You know the old phrase "behind every good man is a good woman." Well in the engine business its "behind every engine is a good team." Lol
Thankfully we have a lot of good teams/drivers and owners that make us look good.
Thank you all for the compliments.

Kelly, you could easily hide behind a screne name on here and for NOT doing that I commend you,
years ago I began my facination with sprintcars into a hands on ordeal. luckily enuff the Driver I was helping had just had his ASCS 360 freshened/updated by Wesmar, we ran that motor about 20-25 nights with no glitches what so ever, it always ran smooth and strong, (it ws just typical stuff no voodoo magic involved) WITH THAT NOTED, that engine underwent extreemly good maitinance . I learned alot that first year on how to take care of your Kittin and she will take care of you, A engine builder relys on the "half hearted " attempts to matinance sometimes, sooo many components can be overlooked that if not checked routinely will almost guarentee catostrophic failure.. like said earlier about settups, If you have a 730hp ASCS mill it doesnt matter, if your trailer is full of burnt up tires and no rubber under your behinedie your going nowhere... but, " first, in Motorsport, syou must have a good Motor first.." Ironically when shopping for a Builder I found several that had larger Ego's than some drivers do. I guess some carry thier success differently than others.

Location definitely should play a factor. From local racing i have been involved in, it is nice when your engine builder is at the track or close to the shop incase you have any issues.
