Larry, I'd expect this announcement to be on winged nation today as Shane is one of the guests.

Great to hear that Jeff Gordon is involved with sponsorship of Paul Silva's 57 Sprint car. The sponsorship will come through Jeffs Kick It foundation.

A very good interview with Shane. He is a class act! Glad to see him get a sponsorship for the big races.

But Ughh.... Jeff Gordon....... I'm glad he is finally involved with a sprint car. And it is for a good cause! ....... At least the car is not a rainbow wink

Good news to see Jeff is going to be helping Shane and Paul Silva out.

With that being said, I don't think Jeff ever owed anything back to sprint car racing. His fundings of Hunger for Children and Cancer Research for Children far exceed having to put money into racing!

Wish them well. I'm sure Shane will drive the wheels off of it at the Nationals

totally agree

Glad to see that Jeff's using this to continue to work on Children's charities (cancer research). If this proves to be a worthy investment, other organizations/charities may see the value in sprint car racing as well.

Hopefully the local media (Newspapers, TV stations) will pick up the story, but Knoxville seems to get completely forgotten due to the State Fair, Balloon Classic in Indianola, and having a Olympian in the Summer Games (Gabby Douglas - Gymnastics lives in DesMoines) in London.

Sprint car fans need to make sure they e-mail and let those news organizations know so they'll show up and cover it.

I'm surprised and extremely happy he had time to even think about sprint car racing and a possible sponsorship.

I think he's still in South Africa opening up hospitals with President Clinton. He flew to NYC after the race on Sunday to hop on a plan with Clinton to head that way.

they couldn't have chosen a better team to be ambassadors for their cause. Paul & Lori with their new baby Kaylee, and Shane so well spoken - a GREAT team to represent the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation.

Aside from this very worthy cause this will hopefully let Paul and Lori breath a little easier by taking some of the financial burden off their shoulders. I know our company is greatly appreciated to be a small part of the #57 team!!
