Sammy Swindell passed Shane Stewart midway through the 40-lap feature and held on despite a flat left front tire to win the $15,000 payday as the 24th annual Short Track Nationals champion.

Did anyone catch what he had to say after the race? I missed it. How about the charge that Cornell made from the back of the D to the B!

He said he was faster on three tires than everybody else on four. Then he said everybody needed to word harder if they were gonna beat him.

I don't like the guy, but, he was right. Even with a flat left front he was faster than everybody else. Thought Bacon might be able to catch him and he kept the distance between them pretty even.

How can you not like sammy? The guy is that good. So many act surprise that he is still winning. Think about how many wins he would have if he had not went to napcar and spend his time there. Enjoy him while he is still driving or don`t.

So you saying ASCS is AAA racing, alot of the men and women in ASCS can kick an Outlaws ass any day. Outlaws are ruining the sport as not everyone can afford to run all over the country with the bad economy and no sponsorships. Would rather see 15 ASCS shows any day than one Outlaw show. Glad to see Sammy any day

No I'm saying that sammy is a true outlaw cause he runs anywhere there is money and he takes it. Henry someday you might figure out that what made the so called king was not all him. He is good but not a king. SAMMY IS KING PERIOD!

How can I not like him? Lots of reasons I don't need to explain to you. I never said the guy wasn't or is still good. He is one of the greatest ever, just never cared for him.

He's got some thick skin talking like that....telling everyone else to work harder....not exactly gracious in victory....all the crap he goes on with in an interview and the best he can come up with is to put the other guys down....his memory must be as short as he is ....wasn't too long ago Shane Stewart and Schatz put an ass woopin on him at The Nationals ....but then that was The Tire companies fault...it's always something with this guy...
The King Steve Kinser wouldn't talk like that...

15k to win is not the minor's where i come from. he also attended last year but obviously you forgot about that one right? just sayin!
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
