Yea everyone should be like meyers and turn into nascar bullshit. Politicaly correct that's what sprint car racing is all about. Don't be butt hurt cause confidence is a stain you can't wipe off!
|
It's not about being politicaly correct....it's about having some class....but I guess you're right....everyone's different....he's no Kinser that's for sure....I'm sure the odds are that someone will put him in his place this coming weekend.....

The Statistics tell a different story about who's better.
The only thing Kinser hasn't done properly in his career, is hit the little bundle of joy harder....not that I condone violence or anything.

He said he was faster on three tires than everybody else on four. Then he said everybody needed to word harder if they were gonna beat him.
|
Sammy is all race at the racetrack. He owes his car owner to drive 100%. He does that. I am quite tired of people that think all drivers must be politically correct when a mike is shoved in face. What he said is correct, he was faster on 3 tires than others on 4. What do you want him to say? Maybe he should tell rest of drivers he his sorry he won. Admirer Sammy for his driving style and 100% effort.

Like him or not, he still makes the sport much more interesting. You guys have to admit, people are drawn to come watch him, either to see him win or to see him lose. I was there Sat. night & half the crowd cheers for him the other half boos, and the ones booing, got just what they wanted. He made his comments & now they will come back next year to see if someone can beat him. Just look at all the post that show up out here when he is winning. He is the most talked about driver on the message board whether good or bad. People are passionate about him on both sides of the coin & that is something we don't have anymore in the sport. Be honest there are drivers that are good but extremely boring to watch, but every-time that Black #1 hits the track your keeping an eye on him. You can hate him all you want but when he retires the sport will have lost a icon. So enjoy the times you get to see him race. Because no one can fill his shoes as a racer or personality in the sport. Whether you race drag cars or super stocks, when you say you watched Sammy race last night they know exactly who your talking about.

No I'm saying that sammy is a true outlaw cause he runs anywhere there is money and he takes it. Henry someday you might figure out that what made the so called king was not all him. He is good but not a king. SAMMY IS KING PERIOD!

I didn't know that Sammy got sent down to AAA. It must be hard on him to be back in the minor leagues.
|
Minor league engines...major league drivers. The minor league drivers were on a parking lot in Martinsville VA over the weekend.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Attended the race. Sammy was really quick. Did a great job on three tires. Clearly the best in the field, as the race results stated.
Now for his post race interview.......................................... Its just "Sammy being Sammy."

While I am definitely no Sammy fan, I respect the schedule that he runs. That is a true Outlaw. Sort of reminds me of the schedule another 'Outlaw' great ran most of the time and that was Doug Wolfgang. Show Wolfgang the money and he'd be there, points or not.

It's sorta hard to argue with Sammy's statement when he's making it from victory lane, huh??? Like him or not, not only was he faster than everybody else Saturday night but if he would have had to stop and change the flat left front tire and start over at the back of the pack he is the only driver in the field that is capable of and would have had a real chance of charging back up through the pack to the front and winning. THAT'S why we all love to watch him.

So you saying ASCS is AAA racing, alot of the men and women in ASCS can kick an Outlaws ass any day. Outlaws are ruining the sport as not everyone can afford to run all over the country with the bad economy and no sponsorships. Would rather see 15 ASCS shows any day than one Outlaw show. Glad to see Sammy any day
|
What rock have you been sleeping under ? Why not get the top ten WoO drivers & the top ten ASCS drivers & run three 410 races @ Outlaw track then drop in the 360 & run three races @ ASCS track, that will end the debate.......then you can crawl back under your rock.

Last caution with 12 laps to go and Sammy's LF gone flat. Bacon behind 4 lapped cars on the restart and got by 3 of them, closed the gap but not enough. On 4 good tires, Sammy was hands down the fastest, but still a POS.

Sammy spanked their hiney on three tires with 12 to go. It was no contest. And, for the Kinser lovers, consider this - ALL of Sammy's 260+ WoO victories included Steve Kinser in the field. The same can't be said for Steve. And, if you think Steve hasn't revved up the crowd and competition with a politically incorrect comment from the Winner's Circle, you have not been to enough races.
Ya'll keep paying the price for admission. Sammy loves taking your money - especially the BOO BIRDS and anonymous Sammy Haters!
"I came to watch SAMMY SWINDELL kicked dat arse!" (that one's for you NWFAN! - thanks for making the trip brother).

Check out this interview I did with Sammy yesterday on the ASCS Show. I ask him about his comments after the STN A Main. I also ask him his thoughts about the Jason Sides vs WoO lawsuit and what is a true Outlaw.
