As far as I am concerned Ronnie Gardner put on a Hell of a Show for all of us with his fast time and coming back from an early stop to finish where he did. He was haulin tonight! The last man standing deal turned out to be pretty exciting to say the least. The Seniors Race was UNREAL on the last two laps! Way to go guys! The Lightning Sprints STILL need to take off their wings but otherwise was good! HP rules the roost with them on the big track so INVERT the whole field one night based on points and we will have a barn burner!

Joe

PS.

Steve Alexander got the dough for the Crew Chief Award!

Ronnie Gardner got the dough for the highest placing Owner/Driver on Lap 21.

I agree Joe, some great racing tonight and the weather was perfect. Second fast time in a row for Ronnie.

Thanks again to Chris Holt for his hard work.

I WILL AGREE THE WEATHER WAS GREAT,, THE TRACK WAS GOOD UP INTELL MAIN EVENT TIME THEN IT TURNED INTO A BIG 'DUST BOWL ' FROM TURN 4 ,YOU COULD SEE CARS IN 1 & 2 BUT YOU COULD NOT TELL WHO WAS DOWN THERE OR TELL WHAT WAS GOING ON.. THE FRONT STRAIGHT GRAND STANDS AND TURN 1 DUST,,,DUST,,,DUST AND MORE DUST...THAY PUT WATER ON THE SURFACE WITHOUT RIPPING THE SURFACE FIRST, THEN WATER IT DOWN,,,AND BRING IT BACK,,,YOU KNOW EVERY TIME I BRING SOME ONE ALONG FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPINS ,, AFTER THE RACE HE SAID 'BULLSHIT',, HE WON'T BEBACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAID HE WAS GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE A SHOWER BEFORE GETTIG IN BED ,,, THAY HAD ENOUGH TIME BEFORE THE MAIN EVENT TO FIX THE DAMN TRACK THE WAY IT SHOULD OF BEEN,,,,, THE CROWD COUNT LOOKED UP FROM RACES BEFORE ,,,,WHO KNOWS IF THAY WILL RETURN...OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS A GREAT NIGHT OF RACING ,,,,,SPENCER 1st........FASS 2nd,,,,,,,,,,SHOWTIME WAS 3rd.... BUT IN THE END THE 'DUST' WON OUT....ZZ

I sat to the left of the flag stand and never felt any dirt ohh i forgot i want to SHOUT , AND I ALWAYS TAKE A SHOWER BEFORE I GO TO BED. EVERY RACE IS'NT ALWAYS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE BEST RACES EVER . Iam not a baseball fan but over the last 5 years or so i have been to a few Angel games and every game i have been to has been a pitching duel . boring !! But it is still cool to go . Last night i had a blast , almost non stop racing , had a couple beers with my wife , she people watched and i saw some great racing, cant wait for the next one. Don and his crew at the PAS try every race to give the fans the best show possible .

I recommend a tankless water heater. All Coast can install. That endless hot water shower at 1:00 am may be the best part of the whole evening. How about Jesse Denome and Bill Badger at the end of that senior thing! How about Danny Sheridan fighing his way from the semi to third in the main. Brilliant driving!

Ok I haf to chime in on this. I've been around dirt track racing my whole life and eatin some dust at the race track has been a part of it. Yet I dont and never have piss and moaned about it to anyone and everyone. In a perfect world every track would be heavy and have 3 grooves and at least 50 cars trying to make the show. Donny and the PAS crew are trying their best every week to give us the best track they can for the chunk of dirt they have to work with. These are far from perfect times for all of us and to even still have a racetrack to go and enjoy being a part of I am grateful. So next time ya bring a dirt track virgin maybe give them a heads up before ya get there that they might get to eat a little dust or get some dirt in their beer but its all worth it in the end seeing guys drive their ass off on whatever type of track they get! Just this Okie's opinion. Tobey Sampson

Who brings a new spectator to a DIRT track race and doesn't bring a pair of clear safety glasses or goggles with them? If I bring a new guest I bring extra glasses, its pretty simple insurance that they can enjoy the action that I love so much. I always have a pair of snug fitting safety glasses with me. You can watch the racing without obstruction. Too many damn whiners down here in so cal. Bitch this bitch that. Hell last time I was at the PAS some old fart was yelling at a concession working teen because his coffee wasn't warm enough! I wanted to walk over and smack him right in the face.
Cheers!

First of all thanks to Chris Holt for all his hard work. There was some dust but I never had to put on my goggles. I was sitting in the main grandstands near turn one and it seemed to be turn 4 was where most of the dust was. From our view point we were able to see the rest of the track pretty clearly. I saw some great racing last nite and overall it was a great time. Bob

To rephrase a statement:

A night of watching sprint car races in dusty conditions beats staying home with the ol' lady.

I had a great time. It would be nice to see a list of the different payouts. It makes me proud to be associated with people that are willing to put their money where their mouth is.

Would someone please make a 410 available to Brody Roa for the Oval Nationals?

"Fireball" Johnny McCall looked pretty good for as little seat time as he has.

We have lots of good young drivers coming up, in that way sprint car racing is healthy.

Those old guys certainly showed that they have the fire also. Wow, what a finish.

How about them senior sprints? Maybe i'm partial because I do what I can in the pits for Bill Badger who finished second. I've been involved in racing for close to 50 years (my father was the late Rosie Roussel) Dust, dirt etc. comes with the territory when you go to a dirt track and last night was nothing compared to some recent venues we have competed at!

Thanks to the PAS for a great night of racing..
Great to see what looked to be a really good size crowd of fans.
Thanks to Chris Holt for all the work he did to raise the extra money for the racers.
I got a big kick out of hearing Don K reminisce about their bad ass cars running nitro back in the day.
Had fun meeting and talking with the Arizona Big Fish.
They might have to start paying the Senior Sprints if they keep putting on shows like they did Saturday Night.
Congratulations to Brody Roa for his 7th place finish in the main event and being the highest finishing 360.
Don

Harry, Joe is right, most of the pay off is listed on another post, I had some cash handed to me right before the race by some folks that didn't want their name used, (I wish I could list everyones name, it removes doubt about where the money went) and then some more about mid-race from "Kieth" & Greg Kaz, so I just but it in some of the envelopes that were going to places like the B-Main, I wish I could have done more but the times are tough right now for most folks. One thing I didn't mention is that I didn't ask anyone personally for money, all the support was voluntary, nobody was put on the spot, with the results we had, that says alot about our fans. Also, Joe just reminded me that the crew chief award was a check from him, I now remember giving Mark Alexander that envelope. I ready to do it again, same way, one dollar at a time or whatever it takes. And what does that say about nice guy Mark Alexander that he would find Joe to personally thank him that late at night with all the other things that need to be done before the long haul home, I'm impressed.
