Rain has forced the postponement of this show to June 12, 2010.

Dan, Thought I would answer your question , this show will be at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Okla. on June 12 , it was to be on May 15th this past Sat. but was rained out , they will run OCRS Sprint Car series show and their regular classes at OSP and Vintage racers will be added, Brian may have more info that I am not aware of but that is where it will be located. J.D.

JD got it right.

I've been so busy working on this third car, the rain actually helped me out.

Dan,

Best I can tell, this is one of the few on- track deals we'll have this year. I know they want these cars at Ada, but getting cars to show up for the vintage part is a chore. Anyways, OSP is about 30 miles east of Pauls Valley.

Brian,

So is there room for an old Modified with all of those sprint cars? Should this date be posted on the Texas Open Wheel site? This is the track on 3W Northeast of Ada correct? I'm still a rookie just to warn you. I hope that is not an issue.

Thanks, Dan

I know it's kind of late but what is the contact for any vintage cars that want to come? I posted the video on the home page along with a link to the track and OCRS. Phone numbers, e-mails etc.

Solid list is at 5 and up on vintage car count. I do not like to post what I do not trust to be there.

I had several others that said they would come but that is for us to see. Last year I posted every single car that said they would be there, or at least made myself clear on the issue. Due to the uncertainty of the hobby on car counts, I have determined that anything less than 7 cars will cause me to rethink pushing for this next year. Or anywhere else for that matter.

Guess I'll just go to Kansas like several others are if that is all there is.

BUT- I do have one last statement to make, and that will be seen at OSP on June 12th. I'm not done yet, I'm working , sleeping, working , sleeping, etc-day and night. I went to bed at dawn this morning and am at it right now.

Free pit pass (1) per vintage car.

After hot laps, we will display the cars behind the grandstand if you wish. Display cars I'm sure can be on either side.

There will be easy access this time to the outside for us -just off turn 1

Once we get the cars parked, I will need to coordinate a way for us to get our trucks if any that are left in the infield, where we will pit (until hot laps of course).

People will want to see your cars, count on that. Those of you who interested, I'm certain this will stir up memories of where cars are still sitting in barns or fields. Having a conversation piece will definitely help.

We are at a solid count of 8 cars, juuussstt maybe 9 with clear weather as of last night. The count is small, but it's growing.

Wish I had that non downtube Stealth Sprinter together , heck I might try a lap or 2 around the granulated clay oval of OSP , then I could get you into that magical double digit car count, which is more than some tracks get with a competitive weekly class at tracks today.

Was looking at that 86 Nance yesterday and thinking of the possibilities.

JD put the Nance together and come out and play. It would be good to see the smile on your face. The vintage racing is growing in Okla and around the south west. One of the best parts of vintage racing is when a oldtimer comes up with a smile and tells his story. These are the things thats priceless in life.

In the early days of the site I used to get e-mail that would bring tears to my eyes sometimes.

Will start gathering parts for that Nance Sprinter this winter at some of the Auctions I attend. Already got some MPD Spindles and 6 pin centers for the front wheels. Also going to have to get some repair work done on the Nance, someone decided to cut on it some.

Going to check out the Vintage stuff close up Sat. night.
