What was Kerry Madsen thinking when he blasted into three and dumped Chris Morgan. That has to be 1 of the top BONEHEAD moves I have seen in a long time. Hope to see Chris Morgan back, they have to be one of the lowest budget teams running Knoxville but runs VERY competitive with what they show up with.

I don't think the slide job was the most bonehead part of the situation. How about Madsen not stopping at all on the red flag? He's the one that caused the accident yet he managed to drive passed stopped cars and make it to the back stretch pit entrance.

I heard on HoseHeads radio that Morgan's crew had to be seperated from Madsen and his crew after he finally stopped when the red came out. I wish there was a video of this because even the HoseHead guys said it was a pretty bad move on Madsen's part.

I did notice one of Chris Morgan's guys getting punched in the back by one the Madsen's crew. I don't know if this was preceded by Morgan's guy or not but it didn't look good.

Well from the way the it was said on the radio Morgan had very right to be very pissed off. They didn't say if there was punches thrown, but they said oh boy here we go and the crews had to be seperated. I do agree however when the red comes out you must stop right then and there. If not, park em for a week!

There was punches thrown.
One of Morgan's guys approched Madsens car and one of Madsens guy's punched him.
Morgan's guy saw it coming and turned. That is why it looked like he was hit from behind.
Madsen should have been disqualified because he didn't stop on the red and he entered the pits on the backstretch.

maybe the guy that approached madsen's car was morgan's car owner.
if kerry pulled a dive bomb, brandon wimmer style on my car and junked it i might want to beat the sense out of him also. but in madsen's case he has no sense so i would just beat the shit out of him!

wanting to beat the sense out of someone and actually having the ability to do it are two totally different things!!

I was there and from my perspective it was a pretty rough attempt at a slide job by Madsen, especially when you consider that he didn't come anywhere near clearing Morgan. It was a bad move on Madsen's part, but like many other people have said, there have been much worse attempts at slide jobs in the last year or so at Knoxville. This includes Wimmer taking out Kemenah when they both had qualifying positions locked in for the Nationals A-main, and also Brian Brown blatantly taking out Randy Martin in a preliminary night 360 Nationals A-main. Not clearing a guy on a slide job attempt happens to good drivers, but maybe this incident will make Madsen quiet down a little the next time he feels he gets taken out, as he is very quick usually to point out other drivers mistakes.

Don't go clouding a good old fashioned lynching with your eye witness accounts.

PS Congrats on your win at Belleville....

Hmmmmmmmm.... I gotta agree MESPN2 ..... I don't know Morgan or a soul on his team ....but I will take Madsen in a fair fight ..... hell ...I'll take Madsen in a UNFAIR fight ....but I will garantee you it wasn't on purpose so it is really nothing more than a tough luck racing deal.

John McCoy made it very clear to the drivers AT the meeting that they cant be coasting to a stop anymore and they need to safely and quickly get their cars stopped. As soon as the red flag flies the track belongs to the safety crew. I was told Madsen didnt attend the drivers meeting.
