it doesnt matter if you drive by the accident scene or not there are firetrucks and ambulances on the front and backstretch going onto the track and headed to the scene. Morgan shouldn't have to lift just because he is getting a slide job put on him. He should feel confident that the other driver is going to make the move succesfully. Its a racing deal IMO but morgan couldnt of avoided it.

ok so lets look at like this what if it would have been kinser or meyers or any big name driver would any one have said "he should have rolled out of the gas" of course not with the driving skills of madsen he should know when he is clear and when not what was he going to gain any ways they were both locked into the main and would have got there times back but insted there 2 tore up cars the CREWS have to fix. we all know chris is not a big name but for the stuff he has hes doing damn good and beating the big dollor teams lets all face it drivers make mistakes in life we have all seen it no matter who they are at least each got out and can race agian thats the most important thing here and every one has forgot that.

I can remember like 10 years ago or so Joey Saldana fed Chad Smith (Randy's son) a right rear going into turn 3 in HOT LAPS (no need for ANY reason) and destroyed the Smith car completely .... neither Randy or Chad left their pit (or anyone on their team) and confronted Saldana. That was much more blatant than at least doing a slide job for position even if it was in a heat race. The race track is a dangerous place but NO one that straps into one of those things is mentally normal LOL LOL LOL J.K. ..... but kinda true.

Whenever I hear of something like this, I like to recall an old Karl Kinser quote. One time, some years back, Steve was the "victim" of a slider gone bad and was ready for combat in the pits. Ol' Karl just said to him that both cars have a brake pedal. Enough said.

I saw on another website that maybe another driver got fined this past weekend for rough driving. None of the above, it was in the 360 class. Hadn't seen anything else about it.

This is a very good point. As a drier running the cushion, you should have trust that any driver attempting a slide job will get out of the gas if he doesn't feel he has the driver on the cushion cleared. The only time the driver on the high side should have to get out of the gas is if the guy pulling the slider has slid completely in front of him and he has to get on the brake to keep from hitting the driver who pulled the slide job in the ass. Which actually is the objective of a slider, to slide in front and make the driver on the high side break his momentum to keep from running into the back of you, not sliding your right rear right into their left front.

What was Kerry Madsen thinking when he blasted into three and dumped Chris Morgan. That has to be 1 of the top BONEHEAD moves I have seen in a long time. Hope to see Chris Morgan back, they have to be one of the lowest budget teams running Knoxville but runs VERY competitive with what they show up with.

Video or it didn't happen. :-)

In the Knoxville Raceway Player: 8/6/2009 Show part 4 about 3/4 of the way through. I would just watch all of the show. Great coverage as usual!
