I thought once a driver takes the green flag for an A-Main he would get paid. My nephew ran with the Midwest All Stars last night at Carmago IL. He finished 2nd in his heat race. I was not there but was told he got into the wall on lap one on the front stretch in the A-Main. His night was done. Rear clip destroyed, Rotor destroyed, The rear end has to go to a shop to be looked at. This is his first season and he is eager to race and getting good. This was his third A-Main of the season. So after a 5 hour tow he was told he would not be paid because he did not complete a full lap. the races I go to you take the green and you get paid. What a bummer.....

My question on this is if this series treats it's drivers and race tracks the way they do how come they are still in business? Just the controversy and politics that surround this business if I was a track owner would hang up as soon as I answered the phone. But they still keep putting on race's and drawing people in? What's up with this?

The last page of the allstar rule book says it all -

Situations may arise that are not precisely covered in this Rule Book. All rulings and interpretations of the rules included herein will be made by All Star officials and these judgments will be final.

There ya go. Sounds like an excuse not to pay somebody. I been goin to races for a long time and if a car takes a green flag he gets scored in last place. If he gets SCORED in last place he damn sure should be paid the last place money. No wonder so many people complain about the MASS deal.

There's been talk of late in NASCAR about "start and park" racers. I commend the highly innovative MASS organization on taking a pro-active stance on curbing the trend of "start and crash" racers.

Midwest All Stars, what a bunch off bull sh*t, the man started the race pay him. When you owe someone pay them or fold if you can't afford it.

No he did not. All he got was dumped to the wall at the start.

Okay, I do not entertain this, it actually entertains me. This is my first and hopefully last post. I told Mr. Vanda-mere that I would hold his check until I had confirmation on the rule "You must complete one lap under Green of the A main to get your pay ". And since he BARELY took the green, I needed to make sure that I was correct on the rule and was unable to do so at the time. Then I told him if he was or WASN'T eligible that I would make sure he was compensated for his drive and efforts. Now, his Uncle, must not of gotten the full story and I am debating whether to mail the check or not. If he is reading this he needs to find my number and call me.
