Now that the WoO schedule has been released, Lasowski (yes I know the speeling) has a WoO ride and all is now right with the world, I think it is past time to take a roll call. It has been several years since this was done here so, are we interested?

Give us your name, where your from and how long you have been a "Hoser!"

Not sure exactly how long. Since 98-99(?) I think. At least since the days of Mibgets and when people used to come on and ask for WoO results when they were racing on the west coast and it was only 7pm out here.

Travis Mummert Mercersburg PA I remember being blown away by Bronco's site in about 96. I will never forget having a buddy in college help me find the WoO web site and results. It sure beats trying to call the tracks to get results.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I'm not exactly sure either but a long time. I think at least 3 board format changes... I used to be on the AOL Sprint Car message board wayyyyy back when and found out about this place and have been here since... so I guess shortly after it went online ... whenever that was ... just know it was a long time ago ...

Hey Duane - was that the first joke you "relayed" on here? It's gotta be at least as old as this board... wink

Pat Grant - Columbia, MO - Been here since day one (almost 12 years). I still have an origional "Hey Hoser" t-shirt along with the gold personalized nameplate that Duane made for everyone for the first reunion at Knoxville...

Does anyone here remember the message board where we used to post before Hoseheads? It is the same place where Alan Holland pitched his idea about starting a "new website"? Hint, the moderator's name was Eric.

I just joined last week. Still trying to figure out the whole sprint car scene.

Is it true they don't have to shift gears?

Steve "Scoop" Hartzell - Tiffin, Ohio

I didn't grow up in a racing family. Became hooked when my nephew, Bruce Robenalt, started racing sprints in the mid '90's. Been a hoser since about '99-00. Used to be the webmaster for both Attica & Fremont, and am still the organizer of the Northern Ohio Sprint Car Show. Have also dabbled in photography.

Roger Johnson here, from Indian Territory or as most desendants of immigrants know as Northeastern Oklahoma and racing fans know as the home of the Chilibowl. Started on this board about 8 or 9 years ago, not early enough to have one of those t-shirts like Duane has that shrinks. As the result of being a Hoser, I have met and made at lot of really good friends. I look forward to seeing some of you at the Bowl.

WaDo, Roger

I used to exchange email with Hosehead and TJ Slideways before any of us had a website and put my first site up sometime around 1997 as a personal homepage account. I got the gotomn.com domain in early 1999 and it appeared on the web about a month or so after hoseheads.com came online. Actually, I would have had it online a couple months prior to that but there was a mixup on their end that delayed my domain resgistration.

I attend most of my racing close to home and seldom run into anyone who knows me from this board and I don't introduce myself as a "Hoser." Up here where I live people are more likely to know me as Stan M of gotomn than as a Hoser. I attend all classes of dirt racing as well as write and shoot photos for several racing publications so I'm not limited to just Sprints.

A question that goes back even further might be "how many posted on the old Open Wheel Wizard message board?" That's where I first corresponded with Hosehead and TJ before any of us had websites. I was one of the first to give feedback on their initial attempts at web design and followed what they were doing. It's always been a hobby for me, a place to display some photos and a comprehensive history section as well as a local message board.
