Brian was in a motorcycle wreck yesterday, and is in the Iowa City ICU. Pleas keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Brian has been a force to be reckon with in both 305 and 360 sprint cars in southeast Iowa. God Speed Brian.

8/18/08 Brian Hetrick Noon update:
His heart rate is up to 60 and his temperature is falling. They have also determined that he has feeling in his feet. We will keep you updated and we need your prayers!
8/18/08 - Brian Hetrick
Brian was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening and was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City with head injuries. Brian is the familiar #35 sprint car currently leading the point standings in the 305 sprint class and was recently the Heat & Shake Up Dash Winner during Saturday night's Sprint Invaders race. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brian, his friends and family!

I deleted my post. Brian is still hanging in there. We got the information from a very reliable source who then got back to us about an hour later. It's a very long story and it doesn't look very good. But God does work miracles and we're praying for one now. Keep strong, Hetrick family!

Brian and Julie and his Family Need our Prayers and not rumors. The Hetrick's are all with Brian and I would just ask, that everyone please pray: That God would lay his hand on all of them and get them thru this very difficult time.

8/18/08 Brian Hetrick 4:30 update:
Status is not good and the doctors have taken him off the ventilator. This is a sad day for the Hetrick Family and all of our racing community... Thoughts and prayers now and always for this tragic event!

We have had some great races this season and Bryan definately brought his A game.We want to congratulate him on his track championship at 34 Raceway.

I was just informed the worst news I have heard in a long time. Brian has passed about 5:30 this afternoon. We will pray for strength for his family and just say. God speed Brian.
