I have watched Brian race sprinters since he was a rookie at 34 Raceway, heck of a driver, even better as a guy. Thoughts and prayers to the Hetrick family tonight from the Cortum family.

We want to thank everybody for your support through this horrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our extended family (Julie, Jim, Joyce and Kevin). Brian was having a great time racing with everyone and was looking forward to closing out this year on a positive note. We would like everyone to come out Saturday night to 34 raceway and help support the Hetrick family on the loss of "#35"
Thanks,
Brian's crew "#35 FOREVER"
Ryan, Brian, and Shane

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Brian. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but from the accountants of those posting in this forum, he was an outstanding individual. May peace be brought upon those affected by this tragedy. God speed Brian Hetrick.
Cheers!

Our prayers and thought go out to the Hetrick family in this time of grief. Brian was one tough competitor, and one of the most likeable guys. He will be sorely missed.

From the 34 Raceway website:
Brian peacefully passed away with his family at his side. In memory & honor of him, the family has chose to race this coming Sat. night. His honorable and fellow competitors have declared him the 2008 34 Raceway, Sebastian Sandblasting 305 Sprint Champion! God Bless his family, friends and the entire racing community for the loss of a genuine friend and great competitor!

Thoughts and prayers to the Hetrick Family.
