I went to Creek County last night and I bought my camera along as I was in need of some new pic to use as screen saver on my computer. So I paid my $25 and went in to the pits, I had taken a few pics went I had something happen that I had never had happen before. I was getting ready to take a pic of Kolt Walker's 45K when a crew guy stepped in front of me and told me "we aren't doing pictures". Which was strange to say the least, but his reason was plum ridiculous. He said he didn't want anyone copying their setup He told me that if I wanted a picture to come back after the race like I was some 12 year old. . I think being the points leader has went to these guys head.

Wow, that is just ridiculous. That whole group seems to think they are running the WoO. If it makes you feel any better he's not leading the points anymore.

Gee I didn't know Creek Co was running Formula 1.
If I pay my 25.00 and if no pictures are allowed, you better put up a sign tellin me that I can't take any.
And then make a STUPID sign for yourself.
What a JOKE

If that is the way it is, I need to invest in another cam-corder.I'll shoot some NCRA events come back and sell these extensive, exotic set-ups.Taking orders throughout the season.Sounds like some retard crewmembers had to much time on their hands.Pics will get you nothing as far as that is concerned except stagger.

I thought he was from Texas? His truck and trailer were in Yukon this evening in my father-in-laws nieghborhood. I might just have to take my camera out to the track this week.

not sure there was anything worth copying last night. who would copy him at creek of all places - i think that was his first time there - everyone else had been there before i think. someone needs to tell that clown that this is not formula 1................
and also they just saw the points lead for the last time last night. Brian McClelland even lost 75 points when he didnt make the a main at lawton - and now he is already back in the lead..........i think he'll run away with it. NOW - had Gary Taylor made each show - I think he'd be givin brian a run for the money.

Dude, I thought that we agreed to be quiet about our set-ups.
For real though, the more I think about this the more outrageous it gets. As many have learned (including me), this sport will make you go from hero to zero in the blink of an eye. And this might be a surprise to texas ranger, but if you aren't nascar by this age you probably won't be.

Mike-----that reminds me. Do you still have that special Bore & Stroke detecting lens I loaned you? I'll be in the pits Friday night and it might be useful.

Why don't we all take cameras down to his pits and start snapping pics. That's sure to make em load the car and close the door. Then we all can laugh our asses off. This guy must've been a clown or something.

From a photographer's point of view, this has happened a lot since 911. I'm not a lawyer , but this is how I interpret your rights to take pictures.
If you are in a public place, you have no expectation of privacy and you have no right to prevent anyone from taking a picture of anything he can see without invading a private place.
Now, the owner of the property can ask you not to take pictures and if you do, he can declare that you are trespassing. He cannot make you erase any pictures you have.
There is a practical consideration. The problem is, you have an expensive, fairly fragile piece of equipment in your hands and your accoster doesn't. That puts you at a disadvantage.
