What a freaking fiasco they have turned into. The devils bowl finale will go down as a clown show.

A $H!T SHOW to say the least. Had a family event so didn't think I would be able to watch the last race, which should have been a historic event.
Got back in time to watch the A Mod debacle that went forever. I'm sure they are nice guys but the announcers were so bad. Had to mute it. Close to being timed out because of some many yellows.

The WoO A Main was an embarrassment. Sweat caused a red flag on lap 3 restart, by getting into his car owner #9. What occurred next was unbelievable. Officials make it an open red with only 3 laps into the feature. This gave #49 extra time to rebuild the car. The #9 and #49 should have been finished but the extra time allowed them time to rebuild. It would have been a big point swing as Gravel #2 won and Sweet easily could have finished last but came back for a decent finish.

I find it ironic that the guy with his brother in law is starting the new High Limit/ All Star whatever to replace WoO , was going so crazy to get his car back on the track. Appears the prestige of a WoO Championship means something. The WoO owe him nothing.

They had another open red later because it turns out only ONE tow truck at the event. I can understand running out of cheese because it was the last night forever but not to have the proper staffing to ensure the show runs smoothly is inexcusable. Then the pit reporter makes a comment " yours truly" even helped on a tire change on Goodno car. Goodno was in the back of the race, but why is a WoO staff person helping a car. I'm sure innocent action but not a good look.

The last lap by Gravel was exciting except I'm an #83 fan.

As Gibson said a memorable race but for a lot of the wrong reason.

It had to be the longest feature time wise without a rain delay The finish was worth the wait and it appeared the speedway just wasnt willing to end their log storied career. Brad Sweets repairable damage wouldnt have been possible without the open red and a respectable 7th to pretty much seal the deal in his quest for a WOO title. Brad gained 5 spots in another incident toward the back of field. Makes you appreciate when hard charger gains several spots with no yellows.

I agree, that was frickin' brutal.   I wish I had turned it off and gone to bed.   Then I could have watched it later and fast forwarded throught all the crap (modified and stock features, open reds, etc).

I agree completely, Sweet should have been out and lost 2/3 of his point lead last night.   Don't worry though, I'm sure Mr. Gibson will be on here at some point saying that it couldn't have happened any other way and it's ridiculous to suggest anything else.

Track work prior to the woo feature. Track was in great shape and absolutely no reason for it.

The sweet deal was bs. Open red saved him from a bad points night.

Macedo in the work area, evidently they only had 1 wrecker. They allow macedo to stay on the hook and work on car. All the while goodno is still on track needing a wrecker.

Stock cars running slicks on dirt seems pretty dumb to me. Caution filled racing all night.

Mods , that feature sucked to sit thru. It's no wonder weekly racing around the country struggles with fans. Who wants to sit thru crap like that every week.

Well, as long as we're talking about conspiracy theories... The actions of the WoO last night pretty much handed the title to Sweet. That took away any probable chance Gravel had to catch up. Gravel's owner, Tod Quiring, owns Husets Speedway and Jackson Speedway that host 2 high paying events. Hmmmm...

even as a fan of Sweet, having that open red 3 laps in so the "points leader" can repair his car is just wrong.

I got there at 5pm and 2/3 of the main parking lot was already full, its half that for a normal WOO show.  Was not long before that was full and the lot across Lawton road was filling fast. At 7ish there was still a long line of cars waiting to get in and they were parking them in the outer backstretch pits.  During hot laps and time trials cars were still coming in. Insane crowd.

I was disappointed to to see 25ish mods and hobby stocks in the infield.  But they did give you the 30-45 minutes you needed in the food lines which never got any shorter.  I was shocked how entertained people around me were with their racing. As a 410 prude I barely pay attention.

Devils Bowl rarely races well for modern sprint cars, after start/restarts things get strung out and there is very little passing.

The open red on lap 3 seemed a bit weird at the time. Not real need for fuel or tires so no clue on the logic.  Gravel got screwed on the points, but if he hadn't run like crap and dug himself a hole a month ago who knows.

Mike Hess on Twitter said traveling series (ALL of them) get preference on tow trucks in some situations.  Logic is people pay to see the big names and not the little guys.

Btw this is the same track that made us sit for almost an hour when the lone ambulance had to leave a few year ago.

Very very late night, but absolutely no one was leaving early.

Getting out of the track was brutal.

Only interesting rumor I heard was there might be a bidding war for the All Stars.

Dirt Track at TMS is now the only hope for a 410 show, don't have much hope for that.

Earlier in the year Gravel was in the work area and wasnt going to make it out and Rose obviously stopped on the track to give him time. So as far as im concerned gravel is farther back in points than what is on paper.

Why would the WoO would want to give an advantage to the guy that is starting up a rival series?

What a freaking joke! The Outlaws pretty much gave Sweet the championship last night. rebuilt the complet car and the Outlaws let him. If I was Tod Quiring I'd file a protest. That was so much bullshit. I'm sure Kahne is smiling today as well as Sweet. They beat the system  Plus let him race with a smashed tailtank.  Could have caused a fire and a safety issue. The Outlaws always favor Schatz and Sweet. The litttle teams never have a chance. Lets look at the picture here. Always been a Stewart or Kahne owned car that wins the championship.the last 15 years or so. Just like the government you can't beat the politicians. Did anyone notice Sweets car was first in pits so they could show favortism toward him. Hes going to screw Outlaws next year too. You Gotta love the dam circus there.

my butt was sore after setting there for over 5 hours, and I was at home in a soft chair.  I really felt bad for the fans at the races.  We thought at the time the red flag was bull.  This whole fix a car rule needs to be changed.

Exactly. This topic is one of the dumber ones I can ever remember.

Who is the 2nd person who has left the Outlaws for High Limit? I assume Hess is one, did I miss the 2nd addition?

Johnny, could you explain how officials determine if a red should become an open red, strictly based in the rule book?

and also why Do they make that decision in  such an early portion of the race based on last nights events?

please!

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!
