PA must be really bad. ok I'm stirring the pot. But congrats to Brian on continuing to be competitive in PA contrary to popular belief.

Maybe he just DOESNT suck. If he can be too 10 most years at the nationals I think it tell the story he is in the top 10 percent across the nation
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

In fairness to the PA Posse, almost all the fast cars went to Lincoln for a $20k to win show. Brownie, after getting lapped at Port Royal the night before, thought the partners would be better served going to Selinsgrove. Classic.

That makes sense. Probably why he went there too. There is no denying he a worthy foe on a 1/2 mile track across the country.

Yes it does. On a big track like KnoxvI'll, Brown is the competition. At a small track like Husets, he's generally a field filler.

Agreed. Just the way it is. It's like the opposite of lil Haud. Helps you appreciate the drivers that are a threat on ANY track.

No one on here says Brown sucks. Almost all of the laughs are about the delusion on this board that the Outlaws will have to step up their game to beat Brown at the Nationals.
That being said, the OP is really puffing his chest at Brown towing all the way to PA to skip a $20,000 to win race. Other than Devon Borden, the best PA teams were at Lincoln for $20,000, not at Selinsgrove.
Tow nearly 1,000 miles each way to skip the race paying far more?

Guessing he made more money at Selingsgrove than he would have at Lincoln so why wouldn't he go? And you can find plenty who say Brown sucks.

I doubt he made the trip for only 1 race. He picked the type of track he likes to race on. Can you blame him?

No, don't blame him at all. But threads like this are the reason Brown gets the reaction he does from posters on here. He ran for much less money against much weaker competition last night.
Brown's fans ceate a lot of the negative reactions he gets on here.

If the thread I started makes you dislike Brown lighten up. We enjoy having the PA guys out here around Nationals. I don't really care where they come from or where they run good at. Just looking for down to earth people and good racing.

Starting on the pole for the Labor Day Classic, if he wins this you have to consider him the favorite for next years Nationals...

3rd. Rubber down around the bottom isn't usually his style of track. Do they usually day race this show?? Seems silly To waste a show with so many good cars there. We're off to Missouri to race the sport mod right now (Not a day show). Hope to kick some butt and make it back to Iowa to be at work by 6:30am. I'm a glutton for punishment.

Labor Day race at Port is tradition albeit with inconsistent track surfaces. Some years when it's overcast it can be quite entertaining, some years it's rubber down. Good luck with your race.

Brown is always welcomed to Pa for this month or so. He often has shirts made just for this trip and said that merch sales pay for the trip. As far as silly to waste this race on a day time track. It was 72nd annual Labor Day Classic. It is a Juniata County Fair tradition. Everyone knows what the track will be like. All local drivers want to win it. If you watched the race you would have seen how excited the actual Mayor of Port Royal Boro was to have his name added to the winners list. And then I saw him walking the fair midway afterwards and was still all smiles.

You PA fans are dedicated fans and good people. Thanks for the back story and nope I didn't see the race just the last few laps on flo. Glad it was good as sometimes rubber down can actually be okay. I suppose going into it knowing the likely conditions helps the expectations a ton. I figured they did it to avoid a rain or a make up or something. Jealous of PA racing to say the least.

Rubber down around the bottom? Stop reading Strawser on here. LOL All kidding aside, Cisney did win today from eighth.
Daytime races are seldom ideal, but the atmosphere at the Port Royal Labor Day Classic is a central PA tradition because the race goes back to the 1950s. That is one of the very few daytime shows run in central PA anymore, and have been years when the race has been won from midpack.

that's the only video I've seen. Macri did try high on the late race restart but immediately moved down. Sounds like I need to find the entrie race replay.
I try not to read too much Strawser drama on here if possible. I think all the tracks in PA seem to put on a good show. Some better than others but it's always a preference thing and sometimes traditional for families to go to a specific track. If anyone gets sick of my conplaining about late race nights please feel free to also ignore as sometime I feel like I'm the Strawser of the late night race program! I used to like late nights but kids changed that tremendously.
