If my memory serves me well, I saw Brown finish 2nd to Schatz twice at Knoxville Nats, thought he was crazy fast. But when he comes to Pa., not impressive (but congratulations on his win). On the other hand, never saw the Posse guys do much at Knoxville either. (Hodnett Top 10?)
Just looking at the tracks, you can see the difference between the red Pa. clay & black Knoxville river "gumbo". I think there must be a certain feel they get driving on these different tracks over the years, nothing you could put into words, more like an instinctive muscle memory kind of thing...

I don't remember people saying that the WOO will have to step up their game to beat Brown during Nationals. Everyone knows who the yearly favorites are to win, however it's always fun for any local race track has a "local" racer do well, and choose him as someone who can win. I don't understand why so many people get butt hurt about this.
Outside of the top 3-4 guys, who routinely win, I think Brown has a good as chance as anyone.

In fairness to the PA Posse, almost all the fast cars went to Lincoln for a $20k to win show. Brownie, after getting lapped at Port Royal the night before, thought the partners would be better served going to Selinsgrove. Classic.

Yep. Dewease , Macri, Marks, Dietrich, & Lil Freddy were all at Lincoln

The track didn't rubber up until late in the race. At the beginning cars were running all over the track.

I have never seen that claim either. I've been on this board since 2017.
Maybe it happened 10 years ago and people are still holding a grudge for some reason. I will never understand either. Based on what I've seen, Brian Brown has done everything right and is a great ambassador to the sport.
I'm glad the PA fans treat he and his family with respect. If Casey's opened a store in PA I'd look for it becuase of him.

Starting on the pole for the Labor Day Classic, if he wins this you have to consider him the favorite for next years Nationals...
