I feel like it's a yearly topic with the 83 car, but how long will they stick with Reutzel? Got a couple wins & shows speed especially early in the night. Feature time it seems 50/50 on whether it's a top 10 or a DNF. Roth doesn't normally show patience with results and I'm sure the extracurriculars from a few weeks ago didnt help

So what kind of results would Roth or anyone else expect with someone who's in their first year on the tour? With the speed Reutzel has shown and having a couple of wins most people would think that's pretty good?

That kind of logic doesn't apply to that ride

Schatz will be in the 15# as long as he continues to race sprint cars.Sheldon is also fearless but is so likeable that we give him the benefit .When the track rubbers down the race is pretty much over for the gassers and the patient ones will follow the leader.he The dash draw decided Hussets plus a couple slower cars. We know what Larson, and Sheldon can do just need two grooves. They should have reworked it more but far from a big crowd and today will be better. The 83 is plenty fast just hard to follow someone like Pittman that was very popular and took care of his equiptment.

Well obviously the 83 usually has a quick trigger but Reutzel has had more then a few nights where he made the dash but wrecked it in the feature. Can't really blame all of those crashes on the car. They also did let Reutzel bring his chsssis program with him

Roth showed more patience with Pittman than what I thought he would. Nothing against Pittman's character or anything but based on previous history with the results he had outside of the beginning handful of races with the team he did not perform spectacular. Especially when you consider Roth fired Gravel after no wins in 2015 after coming off a season with however many wins and a National Open win, then sticking with Saldana the following year with less success than what Gravel had.

why worry about it. Reutzel has done ok and has been caught up in some deals not his fault and some that were. Roth fires every driver he ever had. No patience.

I know a lot of the responses you got involved sticking up for Reutzel, claiming he was doing pretty well. I can't disagree with them. However, you are spot on. I say their is a great chance he is not in the 83 by the Nationals if things don't improve dramatically. Who in their right mind would take that seat right now? As Nick pointed out, the most patience he has ever shown was with Pittman-------and a proven driver like Pittman deserves the time to turn it around. Reutzel? He does not have the resume to hold this job with the results he's getting. (See David Gravel, Shane Stewart, Joey Saldana,............)

I'll say this about Reutzel, he's inconsistent but the ceiling is high with him. He can win Crown Jewels.

Ya he needs fired.... where are the haters after tonight? haha
Here I thought he has had a really good year and easily could have had more wins with a little more luck like his flat while leading at Dubuque.

Maybe so. Kinda like Reutzel eliminated Macedo. The 83 will get it done a few times, when he's able to drive away from the wrecks

RR over LR and that's what happens. The funny thing about that move is the guy doing it knows the outcome. Usually both cars get tangled up and that deal happens real fast. Glad he was ok.

Looked like 2 guys racing hard for the same spot on a narrow track. One guy wrecked himself. It happens. It'll happen again.

Macedo is often all over the place as well. Not surprising they got together after the move Macedo pulled on Reutzel in the heat at Beaver Dam.

I'd say that Reutzel has a job at least through the weekend.
