Apparently Greg Zipadelli doesn't think so.   Doesn't mean he couldn't go to another team I guess.

I don't think he's going anywhere until 2022.  Time will tell though.  Hope he gets a ride for him and his family.  Hope he stays on dirt for me.  Smile

They've been floating some articles of a PR type nature lately, probably trying to see what sticks. If they got a bad reaction from the manufacturers, he'll be in dirt until that changes id imagine.

I'm firmly in the Larson stays in sprint car racing camp, at least my desires anyway.

Let's also remember larson already has a sprint car team and that the 57 is owned by a guy that may not want to run a full schedule and be out on the road constintly

Seems like a no brainer to go for Big NASCAR bucks, but money doesn't always buy happiness. He said all along that he wanted to race WoO eventually, & he's doing it now. Its GOTTA be more fun than NASCAR, especially how he's kicking ass & taking names (What does that even mean, anyway? wink )

I wonder why anybody hasn't brought up Larson getting back into an Xfinity ride?

This could be good or at least the best possible news.  The timing of this seems weird.  Last week Tony Stewart makes the comment about NASCAR needing to figure out what to do with Larson, then this week he says all the drivers will be back.  I don't think it's any secret that other than Harvick the other drivers are underperforming, Custer is a rookie though.  I really thought Bowyer or Almirola or both of them would be gone after this year.  If I had to guess he got some inside info from NASCAR that he could come back next year but sponsors said no, or NASCAR said they're not ready for him to come back yet.  This turned out to be the worst timing ever for him to make that comment (and yes I think he needed to be punished).  I could see why NASCAR wouldn't want him back yet, there could be riots outside of the racetrack.

Maybe after that ride in the Rumley car Kyle Larson may not really care. Remember he did say the late models pay better. I really could see him do an outlaw type of schedule and only hit the bigger paying venues. He's selling clothing like nobody has in years and that's a profitable deal. Whatever he does I'm sure he will have a very busy and profitable schedule.

I agree he made it clear he wanted to be a full-time WoO racer when his Nascar career was over.  However, I don't think he quite got the money in the bank he needed to make that a go for the rest of his life--hence the request for reinstatement from Nascar.  I'm also fearful that the KLR #2 may not be on the road next year if he doesn't get that Nascar ride.  This is pure speculation from me, but those sponsors on the #2 car don't exactly look like the 7-figure $ type.  I can't imagine him sending that ride down the road next year hemmoraging money.

Either way, I think we all want what is best for Kyle, so I hope he gets what he wants.  If not in 2021, in 2022.  Hell, I could handle a year watching him tear up the Outlaws!

I believe Larson getting back to NASCAR has alot todo with him bringing a big name sponsor or a sponsor willing to tie their name to him.

You are correct------this is the only thing it has to do with, regardless of all the posturing and narrative

If you read the article SHR wouldn't have a place to put him.   They've already signed Almirola, Harvick and Custer ain't going anywhere, and I guess they are in negotions with Bowyer.   At least that's what I understood from it.

Any other year would have been a different story but with buildings still burning and protests continuing nation wide it couldn't have happened at a worse time.  Not to start a political pissing match but that is the reality right now.  I don't think corporate sponsors are going to want to come on board while all that is happening.  There litterally could be protests and violence outside of NASCAR races right now if he came back.  All personal views aside that is not the type of PR NASCAR wants right now.

I've been of the opinion that if he is in any car (Nascar wise) next year it would most likely be a SHR car. I still think that but I am starting to think it might be becoming less likely it happens in 2021 and maybe more likely in 2022. I still think there is a chance but from what I have read it seems like they are trying to keep all 4 drivers the same next year. Granted, this is the same organization that everyone thought would have Daniel Suarez in the 41 this year and then out of nowhere there seemingly is not enough "sponsorship" for him in 2020 at SHR but yet there is enough for Cole Custer (aka one of the boss's kids). Now I do not care one way or another about Suarez or Custer, just saying this would not be the first time SHR says one thing & then does another. Let's also not forget the infamous situation where Ryan Newman gets let go because we do not have enough room or sponsorship for a 4th car with Kevin Harvick and Danica coming over with Tony staying in the 14. Then suddenly 1-2wks later Kurt Busch is announced to a 4th SHR car. The do play a good PR game.

One thing to think about is the Chase Briscoe card. He has had a pretty good season so I could see Ford telling SHR that if they can't keep Bowyer or Ford wants Bowyer out, to put Briscoe in the 14. Something that somebody brought up is there possibly being a SHR allifilate team similar to the Gibbs with Levine & Furnature Row affiliations (those worked out great for those team didn't they (sarcasm)). Some have pointed to the 32 Go Fas team as a possible landing spot for Larson. I am not sure if he would go for that as I believe he said something along the lines of if the "right" opportunity came along he would definately go back to Nascar. I do not see the 32 as a right opportunity.
