I feel at this rare moment in time... that we should just all enjoy the better part of the history unfolding. A young ... highly talented driver could make racing history. Back in the day before ted turner stoked the outlaw brand name from the kinsers ... literally by trade marking the outlaws name. Previously , The word outlaw referred to a driver who would go racing for the money. Not track titles or series points. Just race for the money. Just Run the big dollar shows ... with the locals ... and beat them... On their own turf ...if you were bad enough to get it done. Steve kinser excelled at this... well now .... we have mr. Larson. A true outlaw In every sense of the word. Creating a new category ... in very tumultuous times. I believe we should all ...count every race he wins and cheer him on. He is .... the baddest boy.... in the land ... right now. And we are kind of blessed to have him to watch ... during these insane times.. if you will. With regards to SHR .... Now .. mr. Tony.... there's a man .... a real man . Wow ..hats off to him with a slight bow. Of course ... Neither of these fine racers ..... walk on water ...(there was one and it's not them). But God can be pleased ... that one... with the most to loose... chose to take a risk for truth. Well Bless his Heart. Because he was braver than everybody else. Even braver ...than I thought he should have been. But I am glad that he was. But Now... let us all cheer for mr. Larson to make history this year ... and set a true outlaw record .... for the most features won In A season .... in this new Millennium. By doing so... We will not take away from King Kinser or King Richard of NASCAR. But mr. Larson is the reigning bad boy of this moment ... and all features should count. Regardless, of the cars division. They were a feature ... and they paid money.... to the outlaw. Thus they count. ALL ...Wins... Count. Plain and Simple. I hope he wins even bigger.

Not sure that Ted Turner stoked the outlaw brand. Ted Johnson.

Excellent Saphead, now can you do that in James Earl Jones voicing?

  • That might be offensive to some, kinda like black face can be.  Sad but true.

Ask Bubba what he thinks. Bet he would say that Kyle made a mistake and should be allowed back in NASCAR since he went through the required classes.

They have and he basically did say as much even after it happened. The video clip is from 4months ago and the article is about 3months ago.

Yes he has. He did an interview with the AP 2wks ago where he addressed everything. It also addressed the work he has done as far as working with organizations and educating himself.

2 things. Someone said to yell the n word of the f word at work and see which would get them fired.  I can without a doubt, where I work both would get me fired on the spot. 2nd How many times does Larson have to apologize?  He made a mistake, paid the price, apologized...move on.  Just seems like people wanna keep beating that dead horse.

Last thing....if there are any Nascar fans here....does anyone like Bubba?  I watched Nascar when he was coming in and thought he was a arrogant prick.  Just my opinion of course.  Or can I not not like him?  I know what the media would label me for saying that.

Stop with the woe is me, self-victimization. If you don't like him, you don't like him. Whatever. You don't have to like everyone, that's your right.

I happen to like Bubba, but really, who gives a shit who I like and don't like?

I like Bubba and there are plenty of people that do. There are people that don't and that's fine too. No one has to like or dislike anyone although you can always question the motives of why either way. I met him at Columbus Motor Speedway at a K&N race and he was super nice. There are others that don't like him because of results & feel he might be overrated which is fair. But then there are those that hate him now after not having an opinion either way over a stupid flag of a nation that doesn't exist which I find laughable & wouldn't necessarily label someone anything but I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility.

The Nascar media for years has always said you should like all drivers. Look at how much they defended Jimmie Johnson saying we don't know why people don't like this guy he's the best driver and tried to justify everything. Same with Kyle Busch with his skill level, same with Danica with her.............. whatever she had. They always do this & there will be another person (most likely Hallie Deegan) who they will do it with in the future. It's part of what hurts the broadcast & DW was the worst at it. Don't tell people who to like & not like, fans will do that themselves

True.  SHR will do whatever they want, when they want to do it.  They are working on all securing all 4 drivers right now-----until there is an opportunity to put Kyle in a car, then that could suddenly change.  I think they are securing the 4 drivers knowing what Stan just said-----there is very little chance Kyle is going to be a good move to put in a car before 2022.  So, might as well have your 4 drivers sewn up for next year.

Really the only team that I can see him going to where it wouldn't be a PR nitemare would probably be JTG Daugherty Racing because that would mean Brad Daugherty giving the approval. The likely hood of that happening, who knows? Brad Daugherty did say Larson's comments did set the sport back & was really disappointed in Kyle at that time.

However he has recently stated that their team needs to get better & some have kinda hinted that maybe Ryan Preece could end up released due to the struggles of the 37. If you are looking for a driver that will make you better and one who would sign with you, if you are truly honest with yourself it's Larson. Erik Jones isn't going to sign with you, I don't see it being an upgrade for Bubba, If Bowyer gets released for Briscoe that isn't an improvement. Larson is the only driver that can upgrade that team that would sign. With Brad Daugherty signing off on it as an owner, having the ability to speak to sponsors from his position would have some value as well. Brad Daugherty would have to be on board & really if he did speak with Larson, I think the relationship would help all parties

His punishment should be banishment from Nascar for 5 years and must run between 100-125 dirt races of his choice per year in the continental US.

Dominic Toretto got banned from stock car tracks for life for beating a man half to death with a 3/4" torque wrench. This is a a very similar situation.

I remember that. About the same situation when Stroker Ace got fired from his Nascar ride for pouring concrete into his boss's car. Stroker got back into Nascar when he sold his soul to basically the devil and became a spokesperson for Clyde Torkel's Chicken Pit Special and the "Fastest Chicken in the South."

Not sure that Ted Turner stoked the outlaw brand. Ted Johnson.

My apologies for the error.  Actually,  in the last couple of weeks I have assigned three different Teds to be MR. Turner. My grandmother would say that something is up with him... to be on your mind.  She has passed herself... long ago now.... but she would say call. I did  not know MR. Turner as a CNN head or a braves owner.  He is a Montana rancher.  The second largest real estate holder In The United States  at 2 million acres .

But not to take away from Mr. Ted Johnson and his traveling World of Outlaws.  Years back I talked with him.  I did the Western swing.  I highly recommend it.  I stayed at many historic hotels... did  the national parks and even went to a tea party and fashion show before going to the Silver Dollar Speedway.  Sometimes in life you have events wherein you realize that you are exactly where God meant you to be. I walked into that grand foyer... of that historic old mansion and there on the wall was a picture of my many  great grandma.  At just... such a party.... a century before me.  Oh well.... I thru in  a whole bunch of things with my racing and it was just the best trip. If you can afford it.. I highly recommend that you do it. These traveling series are fun to run with. But do note ... that i never worry about getting there for heat races.  And sometimes .. like tonight...  I am praying to God to hold the feature till I get there.  And yes, that did work out.  I actually made it for the introductions.  The Lord is good to me!

I think everyone that is a race fan has forgiven Kyle.  Why do you think they haven't?  Now, what's that have to do with getting a sponsor to take a chance on him?   It's not beating a dead horse.  He needs 20?  25 million a year from a big name corporation.  No one at this point is going to risk their brand.  Has nothing to do with us forgiving him.  I forgave him the second he apologized.

I wouldn't call it beating a dead horse.  Here's the situation, you have someone who's wanted in NASCAR (for their talent), someone who wants to be in NASCAR and I think everyone agrees that at some point he will be back there but he's suspended with no word on how that suspension will get lifted.  I promise you this will continue to get talked about until there's an official plan or path for him to be back in NASCAR.

As for Bubba, he doesn't bother me.  I don't know much about him but I think he's treated kind of unfair.  The first time I heard him talk about this was on Dale Jr's podcast and he said he never wanted to be a part of this but he gets thrown in the middle of it.  He talked about when Larson used the word and how everyone wanted to know what he thought and then with the Goerge Floyd thing everyone wanted to know his thoughts and even though it didn't concern him, everyone wants to know what he thinks about it.  But then I also watched the Michael Jordan documentary and he was talking about a black politician running and he didn't endorse him because in his eyes he felt he was a ball player and he wasn't educated enough to comment on it, which I really respected.  But then he got a bunch of backlash from the black community and today Jordan thinks it might have been selfish not to endorse him.  So I don't know what Bubba is going through?  And honestly since the noose incident, I haven't heard any talk about that.  As for the noose incident, he never saw it, he's not the one who claimed it was a noose, so I don't understand why people are upset at him about it?  But before that, I guess I didn't pay a lot of attention to him, I'm not sure how he got to NASCAR, I don't know if he comes from a rich family or what?  But he's kind of got a short fuse which I kind of like.  Makes it more entertaining.

If Bubba wasnt an African American he wouldnt be in the position He  has been put into.I do beleive he has talent but not at the highest level yet of the top 15 drivers.Kyle Larson is one of the most versatile and talented drivers in our era.I think he is enjoying his dirt furlough from NASCAR but the money is just too good to not be a part of.The timing of his mistake couldnt have been worse. Auto racing today requires more than just talent as P.R. is a big part.Basketball and football are different as physical talent alone is the primary factor.Unfortunately some just cant handle the fame and money . Larson should be back but he needs sponsors that are on board. If he gets with a top team which Ganassi wasnt he has the talent to win the title.

Not exactly.  It may not have the media coverage that the Cup series does, but it's not like Larson would be flying under the radar in Xfinity and not garner any attention.  The top Xfinity rides are either the same teams as Cup (Gibbs, Penske, SHR) or heavily affiliated with a Cup team (JR Motorsports to Hendrick).  The rest of the smaller operations are either family run and/or wouldn't showcase what Larson can do, and he would likely need to bring money to the team in either case (even with some of the Cup-affiliated teams).  So the same PR problem exists.

Or he could just go back to outlaw carts to prove himself. The Infinaty series was known as the Sportsman class, or even just the "Friday show", back in the day. No matter how you spin it, it's steps below a cup car in all ways, and an insult to Kyle.

we don't know what bubba can really do because he's driving for petty.  he was right in the mix at the end last weekend at daytona and has had some good finishes elsewhere.

nobody is making an issue out of these dime a dozen white guys somehow getting rides...are they?  i'm guessing money has a lot to do with guys like erik jones, alex bowman, william byron, cole custer, tyler reddick, austin dillon etc. etc. getting a ride.  nobody makes an issue out of that...and how they're making the sport painfully boring because they have no personality.

my son and i sent a photo to bubba wallace in early june.  it came in the mail last saturday autographed.  we're fans for life.  the responses to my posts on twitter about it (with photo of my 6 year old son smiling ear to ear) included he's not an athlete, he has the free time to do it...and worst of all was a joke about the man who was shot in wisconsin.  i'm hoping we'll look back on bubba in 30-40 years in the same way we look at jackie robinson and other athletes who broke color barriers.
