Maybe they should make Larson start 15th or farther back in the A main. Give him a $2500 bonus if he wins. I think it would make for some fun racing.

Good job tonight Kyle, took home around $16,500.

Hopefully he'll run Atomic tonight and take home another 7.5k - and possibly another 1k if he can get the bounty on Cole Duncan. Shane Stewart in the Indy 71 will be there according to Twitter.

Go get em Kyle!

It's really a shame that track is running a big event against speedweek. Of course they're doing the same thing against Late Model dirt week in a couple of weeks too screwing over 2 tracks. Nothing wrong with it per se, but really scummy imo, every other Ohio track took sprint off the schedule the past 2 weekends except atomic.

Larson said in the winner's inteview that he'd be back to PRP to drive a late model in a $100,000.00 to win event later in the year.

Kid Kyle is a racer, period. Put him in it and he drives it hard and to the front. Hope he gets some SLM testing in so he can put a wupp arsh on them.

Under normal circumstances I would say yes but this year has not been normal. With all of the date/race/schedule changes I cannot fault a track for trying to get races booked as soon as they can. At this point I do not know what was originally scheduled and what was not but I do know that Speedweek was moved. It is hard for me to say that a track should inconvienance themselves if they had a "big" (to them) race already scheduled and then reschedule it just because speedweek was rescheduled.

I'm happy that some of the tracks stepped up and were able to put together some resemblance of a speedwwek schedule. I went to Fremont, Brushcreek, and Portsmouth this week and although it has been dusty to a point, the shows have been pretty good. It has been been fun watching Larson race at Brushcreek & Portsmouth and although I am a fan of his, if he goes to Atomic I hope he does not win that one. Hoping that one of the locals can give him a run for his money especially Cole Duncan who has won the race 5 straight years. It would be really neat to see him win it 6straight years and do it while racing against Larson and get $8500 which would mean a lot to that small team (just ran by him & his dad basically). They typically travel when able to (gone to PA multiple times), stay out of controversy, great to the fans, and race clean.

Just saw the All Stars post a couple hours ago that tonights race at Sharon is now for $7500. Wonder where Larson will be heading since both are $7500 to win, although could win an extra $1000 with the bounty at Atomic. Rumor rumor rumors: You have the rumor that he could be in a Stewart Haas car next year, so does he try to get in the good graces of his potential new boss and go to Sharon to try to pull in more fans, or are some of the twitter rumors true that he could be going to Atomic?

I saw what he said about the $100,000 race and I kind of took it that he was poking fun at the rumors from a couple weeks ago.

Hmmm, the plot thickens......

I agree with your earlier post too Nick. 2020 - everything is different.

Plus, All Star Speedweek was going to be in June when the original schedules were made, so maybe Atomic had today on it's schedule before SW was pushed, I don't know.

If Larson were in the Ohio SW point hunt, I'd bet he'd be at Sharon. Sharon make have bumped today's purse because they are calling for rain tomorrow in Ohio.

Attica, Fremont, and Wayne County all adjusted schedules to accommodate speedweek. This race at Atomic also went from 5k to win to 7500 plus the bounty around the time speedweek was announced which was no coincidence. Atomic also decided recently to put on 2 higher paying Late Model shows to go against Buckeye Late Model Dirt week. Again theyre doing nothing technically wrong, but I wouldn't expect the other tracks to give them any kind of courtesy going forward. The Wayne County promoter didn't have much good to say about them the other day.

I'm confused. Attica, Fremont, and Wayne County all got SW races. Fremont got 2. What races did they have to cancel?

Every track in Ohio lost probably a third of their season to COVID-19. So now you want Atomic to shut down for two more weeks?

Finally, Wayne County needs to worry about removing the huge chunks of rocks from their track before a driver gets hurt, instead of bitching about Atomic.

Just saw on the tracks twitter that Larson is at Atomic. I think the weather may have played a factor into the decisions of some teams too. I wanted to go to Sharon today but the forecase yesterday did not look that favorable so I went to Portsmouth last night instead. Today it looks better but some of the teams may have seen that and may have decided to just get hotels near Waverly and not make the 5+ hour trip from the Ohio River to Sharon only to get rained out. Safe bet would have been Atomic for some of those guys. Still pulling for one of the local guys like Cole or even a Brandon Wimmer to win the race. Nothing against Larson at all as he is one of my favorites, just want to see one of those guys get more opportunities as they are deserving as well. I saw Atomic took sport mods off the schedule which is a bonus so I might make the trip down but not sure. Going to the Brad Doty Classic on Tuesday and don't really want to log too many miles before Knoxville next month

Wayne county has a promoter? Maybe he should buy a water truck, a rock picker, some paint, and general maintenance tools so it doesn't resemble a track from a third world country.

He should apologize for the shit hole he calls a race track.

I know a bunch of Star Struck fans are going to get their panties in a bunch over this. I know the tracks are doing great with Larson showing up and increasing their crowds right now. Has anyone given any thought to the finances of the local teams with the NASCAR money showing up and taking the lions share of the purse money out of their local teams pockets. After all they are the teams that you will want to be around when he gets back to NASCAR and he will at his first chance and I don't blame him. Before anyone says I am a hater. I have brought this up with other teams and have said that Pa. has better weekly racing now than we had with the big money teams that we have lost because the money gets spread around more. Larson is a great driver but I can tell you money and his crew chief are doing as much of this as he is. Watch how he drives off from everyone on restarts that is as much motor and crew chief as anything. Last week at Port Royal Marks was just as fast but Larson pulled away from him so much on restarts Marks never had a chance to make move on him. Now have at it but this has been my opinion long before Larson came back to sprint cars.

I'll respond to your post, I agree....

Larsen has the skill and equipment that he should man up and follow the Woo or the All Stars regularily and not cherry pick. However his presence may do the track well financially and who knows .... maybe he goes for that reason. I would hope if he showed up just for the track, to help out the struggling facility etc he would also walk away with just enough money to cover his costs and go for the gravy at the level he should be playing at, but that's easy to say and unlikely.

Even though I may not know you, I

What? "Man up"?

He's running a true "outlaw" schedule, something sprint car fans used to admire.

If the other teams are tired of getting their asses handed to them, then there's one solution - step up your game and beat him.

I promise you this, there are a bunch of WoO teams in Wisconsin and All Star teams in eastern Ohio tonight who are glad the 57 is sitting in the pits at Atomic.
