I remember it happened in 2006 but couldn’t have happened much since then. That was an old school ass kicking, to use a Posse saying.

No doubt. The big-3 of 2019 are on another level right now.

Not a Posse Homer, as you call them. But where were you hiding when Danny Dietrich beat the Outlaws a month or so ago in New Jersey (not Pa)?? Just curious. I believe the Posse haters and bashers fell quite silent that day. Funny, how that works huh. And in case you haven't guessed from my other comments on this board, the only driver I pull for (and have for 35+ years) is Sammy Swindell, so no Posse allegiance here. Just stating the facts.

I hear no Posse fans beating their chests today. Just crickets. Something to be said about being humble and not arrogant in victory. Chirp, chirp, chirp.

It is what it is. Track was very locked down last night for whatever reason. The top 10 didn’t really change much from the start to the end. Sheldon was actually faster IMO than Donny, just Donny did Donny things (to quote Steve Post) and moved around enough to keep the air off his wings so he couldn’t get close enough to have a shot at him. Danny and Lance were just off no excuses there. Usually when lapped traffic starts coming to play Lance usually charges and he just didn’t
On a different note. It sucks that Chad Trout tore up a motor before turning a single lap in the A main. That little team showed a lot of speed this weekend. Too bad they didnt get the results to show for it. He’s an all around good guy and so is the team. The fact they stuck around to talk to kids and such after the race after the luck they had says something about them. Hope to see their speed continue.

Longer than any other track the WoO runs on the face of the earth?
Just an educated guess..
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

You may see some whining and excuses being made but that's about it. I heard some of that myself while walking to the parking lot after the feature last night. The WoO totally whooped ass this weekend and the Posse couldn't even crack the podium. It doesn't bother me one bit. The Posse vs. WoO shit is stupid. I just like good racing and last nights feature was very entertaining. Once Donny got the lead, he ran, but he couldnt hide. Sheldon was right there and had he been a little smoother, I think he may have been able to get around Donny but he just made too many mistakes and Donny kept it smooth and straight without missing a beat in traffic. Good to see Sheldon getting faster and I'd say after the last few weeks, Donny is back in form just at the right time. I think we're going to see him win more races than anyone on tour through the rest of the season and win another championship.

Congratulations to Schatz for his first win at the Grove in FOUR years.... I actually found myself rooting for him to pass Sweet after all this "Sweet is the new Schatz" talk. Sweet has NEVER won at the Grove
But lets not forget how much pill draw for the Dash affected this race.... first 4 starters in the Dash were Outlaws. Only change in Top 5 was Gravel passing Dietrich from 6th to 5th
But those are the rules, so be it. Schatz was impressive, he earned it

The pill draw dictates the finish 90% of the time at the Grove, of course we seldom hear about it if it’s the Posse that benefits.

I agree completely. I was just about to say, the top 5-10 cars were all about the same speed both Friday and Saturday night for the most part so the weekend was really all about time trials and the dash redraw. I was glad to see Sheldon run so well on Saturday night. Lance went from 12th to 5th on Friday before being passed by Danny late and finishing 6th but most of those cars were passed on the initial start of the race. I'm not sure what the problem is at Williams Grove, but it just seems they can't ever get the track wide enough and out against the outside guard rail anymore.

Inversions are great on a track where you can pass, but the Grove is not one of them.
I remember during the Open last year, Zearfoss nearly won 56k despite not passing a car all night and not being all that fast. Had that last double file restart not happen, he probably would have pulled it off.

Agree with that too, which is why I prefer bullrings (& wingless racing)

I wouldn't call myself a "homer", cause i don't live in Pa. & I try to be reasonable, but definitely a fan & thats where I see the vast majority of my racing.

I'm gonna fess right up here and say I'm one of the crickets.
My heads-up starts, pill draw, no inversion comments didn't find any love in the Lernerville thread last week. Maybe they will here - or maybe not
It really pains me to admit it - it truly does - maybe I'm just getting old.......While I still believe a bad night at the speedway beats a good day/night at work, I left Lernerville the other night thinking I didn't see much racing - at the front anyway. In retrospect, the pill draw was the most exciting part of the night. Gravel did pass a couple cars but then ran away.
Almost traded Tuesday at Lernerville for Saturday at Williams Grove. Glad I didn't now.
But I ain't gonna lie, either. If a PA car would have won - invert or not - I'd probably have a different take on it . I ain't ashamed to be a central PA homer

BRR was talking about the length of time since the last time the Outlaws swept the top 5 at the Grove, not the actual length of the track.
