Curious to see what all changes take place for the 2019 season. Looks like Zearfoss is possibly going to be on the road with the Outlaws. Heard speculation that Gravel and CJB are parting? Seems odd after the success they have had. KLR and Stewart parting? Heard Dominic Scelzi might go on the road full-time. Who will be in the Heffner ride?

The Gravel rumors puzzle me. Sure this year isn’t quite living up to last year....but it was a career year and those are hard to repeat. Still, this season would be one many would like to have, just too much inconsistency and poor time trialing this season has kept them from the front of heat races at the start, hence not making the dash as much which equals too many hard charger awards. 9 times outta 10 the 5 is going forward in the feature it’s just, due to not being as successful early in the evening, he’s starting deep in the A. I’m sorry, but I can’t see Shane doing anything better.
silly season is always intriguing, but I’m sure it makes Schatz and Ricky giggle thinking “silly fools...we’ve already got em beat again before the next season starts, they will never figure it out”. Because consistency , not just on the track, but the team, crew, car, etc Equals success on the tour. Schatz and Ricky are the best at it, bar none. Sure, lightning in a bottle creates a storm every now and again, but for the most part, revolving doors create mediocrity. Only a select few could hop around and still kick ass, my hero Wolfgang comes to mind.

I've been a broken record on the subject of teams dropping drivers or drivers bouncing around looking for that magic combination for several years. So I for one agree with your assessment of the matter. I also agree with your sentiment regarding Wolfgang. When it comes to getting dumped by a Woo team, McMahan comes to mind. He was dropped by CJB after some prett good years. He finished third in points with the WoO in 2013 and 2014, I believe. And McMahan has shown this year in a less than steller ride that he is still pretty damn fast and gets the best out of his equipment. If Gravel leaves CJB, he will do so after putting up three years in a row of third place WoO points season finishes. I'd sure like to know where he or the CJB team think either will find the magic bullet to top that. So I agree, silly season may be pretty entertaining.

I don’t think Greg would want Mike Heffner to close up shop. I hope he takes all the time he needs to figure out what he wants to do and I don’t think anyone would blame him if he didn’t field a car anymore. But purely from a fan’s point of view, I hope he puts that car on the track again. I don’t think it would be doing a disservice to Greg’s memory and it’s a top notch ride to give to someone in Pennsylvania

Agree-----look at all of the stick and ball sports. Coach Q comes to mind for the Chicago Blackhawks. 3 championships in 7 years and his job was in question after last season. Yikes! No one can wait for, or enjoy any amount of success before it's "what have you done for me lately".

Gravel also has like 30 or so WoO wins in that car which is more than most people have in their career.

Maybe it's Gravel leaving (as the rest of the crew did) , instead of CJB getting rid of him?

Thinking Logan could be in the 2 or even the 5 if Gravel is really out next year. Has the big sponser to come along with.

You had it through the first 3. Bell won’t be returning to the dirt full time any time soon, and if gravel gets his shot at pavement, he will be another former dirt racer. I’d honestly expect CJB to jump on Brent Marks before Logan simply because I’m not sure that Logan would give up his family car and Jacobs WoO career. Unless some unexpected Shark/CJB deal comes together to import both drivers, I wouldn’t look to see Logan leaving the 1S.

JJR tweets 3 days until an announcement, so we might know something Monday.

Appears to just be Joey Saldana in the car for the World Finals.

Consistency is key, Donny and Ricky have proven that!
Paul definetly had some good runs this year
NOT sure any team will win a championship as long as Donny is on the tour. Doesnt seem like CJB is willing to wait it out with Gravel.
From what I have been able to research it seems like Gravel has given CJB the most wins out of any drivers they have had in that car.

Connecticut native, Dave Gravel, was 15 years old when his father took him to his first sprint car race at Lincoln Speedway (Hanover, Pa.). That experience changed the trajectory of their racing pursuits. Connecticut is home to NASCAR Modified racing on asphalt. Dave was focused on dirt track racing and, potentially, racing a sprint car.
His journey would take him to Pennsylvania and beyond, racing micro sprints, URC Sprints, the All Star Circuit of Champions, and ultimately, the World of Outlaws. He's accomplished a lot in eight years of sprint car racing, and he's only 26 years old: 2010 Knoxville's 'Rookie of the Nationals' / (3) All Star Circuit of Champions A-Mains (2010, 2012, and 2017) / 2013 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year / (37) WoO feature wins since 2013 (5 with Roth and 32 with CJB Motorsports)....Additional career highlights include two Williams Grove Nationals wins / being one of four drivers to run consistently in the top three points in 2016, 2017, and currently in 2018 / In 2016 he won the "Joker's Wild" (night before the King's Royal) at Eldora / In 2017 he scored a perfect 500 points in the week leading up to Saturday night's Knoxville Nationals A-Main / Brad Doty Classic win / Commonwealth Classic / he even proved he could take the wing off when he ran at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.
* His trademarks are his consistency, his hard charging style, and his ability to stay out of trouble. In the past three seasons, including 2018, he has amassed strong numbers of top five and top ten feature finishes with the WoO. Last year was a stellar year with 17 A-Main feature wins. Dave Gravel's a "keeper". He's got the nerves, the drive, and talent it takes to race with the very best. When the dust of silly season has settled, Dave Gravel, a proven top World of Outlaws driver, will be backing it in again in 2019.
*I watched Dave race all over the state of Ohio, in two of his three seasons with the All Stars

Haha and Gravel himself has gone on record saying he'd like to try his hand in NASCAR. Based on the article someone posted on this forum awhile back it sounds like he wants out of sprint car racing to make more $$$

Not a Gravel fan. Would be nice to see CJB support a young PA Based driver for a change

I don't think gravel is an extremely talented driver I'd just say average in terms of the pros. I'd say the one thing hes got going for him if he wants to try to make it to nascar is hes young.
