I wonder who will fill the seat. I'd love to see Jason Meyers in the car.

The posts under the release ran the full gamit from Kinser or Lasoski coming out of retirement to names I'm not familiar with. Personally this is another one of those cases where it's someone else's decision and I don't really give a damn. I'd be partial to someone like Jason Meyers and would shy away from someone like Lasoski who has basically retired without fanfare or Sammy who is I believe around 63 and hasn't done a lot in 410's this year. I can say that as someone soon to reach the milestone of 67 because I know first hand what age does to a person. Sammy's has forgot more than a lot of these young guys will ever know but this is going to be a big money top ride with the potential for a storybook ending. If I was making the decisions I'd do my best to maximize that opportunity and select someone with a history of beating the best who is not on the downward slope of the aging process.

I don't have a clue who it may be, but remember a few years ago when the Ragin' Cajun was hurt, the driver they put in his car for part of the year was none other than Slammin' Sammy. And if you don't think Sammy still has it, just watch some of his ASCS 360 wins this year, like their Speedweek where he won three races, had a couple seconds and a third plus won the Speedweek title. He still has it, just seems like the motor program for the #3 team isn't on the same level when they put in a 410. It's hardly Sammy, lol. And if you think that, you really don't know anything about racing. JMO and I'm sticking to it. But do I think it will be Sammy, probably not. I'm thinking a young driver will be in the seat. Will be fun to wait and see.

Not saying Sammy wouldn't be the driver, but he hasn't been competitive in a 410 since the WoO went from Goodyear back to Hoosier. Sammy never figured out the setup with this particular tire. I believe in ASCS they run a different tire and that's where Sammy is good now. As a driver I don't doubt that he still has it.

Jamie Veal subbed in that car for awhile too. He ran pretty well at Knoxville in 2016 in the Indy 71.

Lasoski hasn't retired. He's been unable to put a ride together that fits in with what he wants. Nothing wrong with that. What Sammy's doing isn't eveidently what Danny wants to do. I still believe Danny can get it it done, and I'm quite sure he feels that way, too. What better driver without a ride anywhere in the country would be a better choice for the Nationals? Danny at Knoxville offers up a chance for that team to do well.

Not sure if it would even be a possibility but as far as available drivers who you could put in the seat and be a legitimate threat to win it all with very little experience with the team, Kyle Larson would have to be #1. I don't think anyone out there has strapped into so many different cars and won against quality competition. His performance in the Stenhouse 17 last year being the latest example.

Larson best chance is in the 57 with Paul Silva. He is the reason behind his success in a sprint car.

I won't argue that Larson and Sliva make magic together because they do but how many times has Kyle strapped into a car that he's never driven at a track he's never raced at and won? With him, it seems like there's no time needed to gel with the team. He can literally get into anything and win anywhere. You can put him in a car that's 80% and most of the time, he will make up for the other 20% with raw talent. Give him good stuff like JJR has at a track like Knoxville where he's ran very well and I like his chances.

Why would he want to leave the 57, which he's done so well with? Makes no sense... if it ain't broke, don't fix it

To clarify, this is a response to the Tweet. Not anything official. The shirt is from a few years ago I believe, as Priority Aviatoin is not on the car this year and it is missing Disolvalloy and Jonestown KOA.

i would say Jamie Veal,Christopher Bell are on top of a short list...maybe even Tim Keading and Craig Dollansky too???.. Curious if the 41 will follow the WoO AFTER the nationals or ASCoC?....

Christopher Bell would be a great choice for sure. TK would be good as well.

You would think Bell would have the 14 car that he is always fast in? Maybe not. I think it would be cool for em to put a 360 driver in the car. Like a Clint Garner or Roger Crockett. JMO and while they probably wont, I think it would be cool.
