I was a bit surprised to see that, with the performance Gio has had, I am thinking he is moving up in the ride category however Im not sure how much farther you can go up from the Roth in CA. I think an ASCS ride would be a step down or sideways, WoO is the only real step up from where he is at right now just my opinion.

another beautiful Roth decision...smh. I've had my eyes on this kid for a minute, very versatile smart racer! He'd be a top 5 of my list of up and comers to pilot my car (if i had the $$$ to do so)

Umm, I'm pretty sure it's Gio who's leaving Roth and not Roth dropping him. Gio issued the press release (via ILP) and the Roth camp was quoted as to wanting to continue to support Gio. I wish him luck in what ever it is he does next season and hope for a better night for him tomorrow at the Trophy Cup.

Gio will be 16 next year so I believe that is the minimum age to compete with the Outlaws. So it is a possibility and option.

Maybe he's headed to run ASCS next year with Sunby car out of Knoxville? Heard that floating around a month or so ago.

Whoa spcjay!!! That would be real sweet. Seeing little Scelzi in ASCS would be cool for me since I live in central MO. At least I could see him run a few times . Buddy of mine who owns car in Cali says Gio is going to be a Star.

ASCS is a joke !! Yes I follow them because of where I live, but a joke none the less ... Only 2 drivers running the ASCS Nat tour that are consistently fast are Reutzel and Hafertepe and the rumor I heard is one of them will be joining the WoO full time next year. Scelzi has some talent and what a better way to hone that talent than to surround yourself with a high level of competition. WoO yes, ASCS no ...

maybe going to get hooked up with TS and jion the all stars for a year. be the smart move, would get a chance to run a lot of the mid west and pa tracks before jumping in a full time woo ride.

Is this confirmed or just a rumor?

He is going to be great. Don't most drivers get let go due to retarded comments made by family or girlfriend's? 99% I say.

Again, Roth didn't let him go. Gio had other plans for next year.

I know for a fact that Gio was NOT let go due to family comments or girlfriends, etc. And Gio does NOT have a ride (yet) for next year, but is looking for another opportunity. Speculating about things like this is damaging and nonsense. Obviously, you don’t know.

It was not Gios decision to leave Roth Motorsports.

Silly season rumors already... Don't believe anything unless you read it in an official press release.
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Roth's reason for changing drivers often and a direct quote: "it's my car". As good a reason as there is I guess.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.
