Nothing but the light poles to lean on up top and mud puddles everywhere.  God and Kyle Larson working together can't make Hagerstown fun anymorefrown

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Yea, he's a has been. LOL. Hagerstown in my opinion is not a good track for sprint cars. Been there a couple times and just never thought it was a good show. I don't know if it's because guys don't race there regularly or ???  Or they got so strung out it was nobody catching anyone. O well, that bummer Larson probably packed the place again and sold enough merchandise to cover his stay. The fans that did get to see him will talk about his run threw speedweeks for years. A CA. driver too.

The 4 Heats were basically hot lap sessions, for a minute I thought I was watching the Outlaws, the track continues it's tradition as a boring sprint car track....

We finally agree! (Oh yea, I like Fords too, tho not necessarily in sprint cars...)

I skipped it, on my way to Indiana for their Sprint week.

Finally made it to my friend's farm in Ohio.... was doubting my sanity in Western Pa. (conclusion: NOT sane...)

Felt better after a catnap in service area, plus my CD player magically started working again....

Now fishing... Smile

6 in a row?.....pretty impressive for sure. Doug Wolfgang once won 17 in a row, incuding a sweep of the Jackson Nationals, a sweep of the Williams Grove Open, the Tuscarora 50 and 13 other well paying shows that included being on the road and being back in Central Pa. while he was in the Weikert car in 1965. That's impressive! His total for the year exceeded 50 feature wins. My point is, sure Larson does extremely well in a sprint car, but we'll never know what he might have done, and his streak needs to be kept in perspective. His 6 race streak really only included one race of what can be considered as going up against the toughest competition. The others were against good competion. In the same breath, one bad night does not diminish what he's done.

1965??? Lolsville !! I'm a regular at Williams Grove and have been to Lincoln and Port a bunch so far this year. Im a big DD fan but I went to Lincoln to watch Larson race in a sprint car I was not let down. Now if Krimes would have been able to pass him late the place would have exploded myself included. I guess his second prior to the 6 win streak isn't worth anything which of course he and Shane gave fans their money worth is nothing.

Pretty much impossible to compare athletes in any sport with those from another generation....

Is "worshed" part of the lexicon of the entire commonwealth?  Thought it was only over here in Western PA ? Yinz, worshed, gumband, n'at, couch, hoagie, etc., etc. thought was Western PA exclusives.  HaHa Smile
