Is "worshed" part of the lexicon of the entire commonwealth?  Thought it was only over here in Western PA ? Yinz, worshed, gumband, n'at, couch, hoagie, etc., etc. thought was Western PA exclusives.  HaHa Smile

No, just you Yinzers out west.

Hoagie is definitely a southeastern PA thing.

Had Dewease penciled in for the win before I ever left the house fresh car and driver basically took the last three nights off to prepare for the next three it would not surprise me if he wins Thursday and Friday if the weather man lets him.

Should be a great battle between Freddie and D.D.for the title Deitrich has the advantage as Freddie has not raced Port or Selinsgrove, hopefully helping and watching Stevie the last three years helps.

I think Lucas may come up short since that team never ran the full week.

Thans Kyle hope you enjoyed your vacation I know I enjoyed watching you.

6 in a row?.....pretty impressive for sure. Doug Wolfgang once won 17 in a row, incuding a sweep of the Jackson Nationals, a sweep of the Williams Grove Open, the Tuscarora 50 and 13 other well paying shows that included being on the road and being back in Central Pa. while he was in the Weikert car in 1965. That's impressive! His total for the year exceeded 50 feature wins. My point is, sure Larson does extremely well in a sprint car, but we'll never know what he might have done, and his streak needs to be kept in perspective. His 6 race streak really only included one race of what can be considered as going up against the toughest competition. The others were against good competion. In the same breath, one bad night does not diminish what he's done.

You know I never pass up the chance:

6 in a row is pretty impessive.

You know I think Doug Wolfgang in the 29 in 1985 was really impressive

But the impressive streaks and records of Paul Silva, Kyle Larson, Doug Wolfgang, Steve Kinser, Karl Kinser, Donnie Schatz, and (insert just about any name here), pale in comparison to the streak of the man who wrenched those wins 32 years ago and wrenched the winner last night: Davey Brown - wrenching winning race cars for 62 years in a row! 62 years!!!!!

Just about any name you insert there was not even born when he won his first race. Amazing!

Ahhh, figured.  We call it a "hoagie" too...so I guess I'll be good when I come out east and grab some grub at Wawa Smile  It's "pop" out East too right?  Actually doesn't matter I don't drink pop/soda anyway.  Pretty sure "beer" is "beer" anywhere...

Absolutely amazing! How much change has he seen and been a catalyst of over those 62 years!? Goes to show not all "old dogs" can't continue to learn, or lead, and in his case, both!

No one remembers the Jason Meyers streak few years back? Wasn't it like 10 in a row?

In of Ohio it's pop too. I don't say warsh but I know there a lot of Ohioans who do as well that were from Ohio. Not just a PA thing! Southern Ohioans are especially bad about the Warsh thing.

HaHa, come to Lernerville for a race and just listen to how we talk...pretty unique accent in Pittsburgh/Western PA.  Everytime I travel someone immediately knows the accent and mine's not bad having lived out of the area in my 20s.  Pittsburghers are provincial by nature so we take pride in the accent, but it's, ummmm....unique to say the least Smile

got beat fair and square at where?  mud hole or a real race track?

Why do people have to make excuses? Track was the same for everybody, DeWease somehow managed to win from 10th. Larson won 3 fair & square, lost this one fair & square.... I didn't hear him whining about it....

Canadians eat hoagies and drink pop on their couch everyday while wearing bunny huggs in the summer and 2 in the winter when the temp drops to minus 35 degrees. But we do wash our clothes.

Btw you spoilled race fans. Looking at the speedweek tracks. What are there six within 30 minutes of the grove. My closest sprint track is either 8 hours west or 9 hours south and they only race a few events each year.

Anybody wanna trade lives?? Haha

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Look forward to seeing Kyle at the Doty race and just hope he can run the finale at Knoxville as last year he was the fastest at the end.

To bad he misses the Grove maybe someday he can cross that one off thats the only thing he hasnt done win on the big tracks.

I think it's a hoagie anywhere in PA but the place thats sells them is called a sub shop (go figure). It's soda in central and eastern PA and beer is beer for sure. My grandmother says "worsh" and calls paper bag a "poke".

The 4 Heats were basically hot lap sessions, for a minute I thought I was watching the Outlaws, the track continues it's tradition as a boring sprint car track....

That's about as good as you're gonna get on a half-mile dirt track. Multi-groove racing, low-high-middle in the feature. Winner came from 10th. What more could you ask for? Cars get strung out on half-miles. That's just how it is. It's the trade off for high speed. The Grove is even worse with the long straights. If the racing is good during the heats on a half-mile, then you can bet it's gonna be follow the leader around the bottom during the feature. I'd still take that anyday over bumper car racing on a 1/4 mile cornfield like Path Valley. IMO the best size track for 410's is 3/8 mile(preferably wide and high banked). Lernerville is the perfect sprint track IMO. Too bad they don't have a stronger weekly field(and pay more).

In "Bahston" its "beeah", but they don't have any sprint car racing.... wink

Where can the current points for PA speedweek be found? I presume the 11th place finish must have taken Larson right off the leader board? Is he still in the top 25 in points?
