So, the one night I stay home and I missed a heck of race & a heck of a victory lane incident. I'm not looking to start any arguments or get into any graphic detail, but can someone fill me in on what happened in victory lane that apparently has people pissed off

Must not have been too good as someone took the video off the Lincoln twitter account.

Seated in Area 51.. We saw ncredible racing between the top 3 from lap 15 / checkers at 25.
Hatfield and McCoy family feud building between House of Rahmer and the Dietrich Clan...comparavelt to mouth of the south and Fred Sr.
Serveral close calls / wheel to wheel intimidation in the closing laps...with the Brothers Dietrich on the top two steps of the podium. Danny broke FCC manners on the mic... And family atmosphere decorum.
No damage to either car that I saw... But the heat is on for an expensive speedweek?

Sounds like fun.... any videos?
I don't get Lincoln points system.... Monteith with 1 win way ahead of Dietriech with 4??? I guess its weighted heavily toward showing up for every race?

I don't know... that makes sense from the track's interests, but if someone shows up & kicks ass, they should get credit
They can do what they want, its their investment....

Points are to reward consistent finishing and racing at a track or series. Just because you're the best at a track if you don't come to all the races and aren't racing for points there you ain't gonna win track championship. Seems like DD ain't chasing so no harm no foul.

Sounds fair from the track's standpoint, I've never owned a track
I was just thinking "who did best"

Danny didn't yell it. Gary Kaufman came to Danny just as he was about to do the interview with Wayne and yelled "Fuck the Rahmers!" Which is not an uncommon thing at the racetrack. But the mic was on and it broadcasted over the pa. Now I'm sure Gary has been to a race or two. You gotta know where you're at dude. Now I have to explain once again to people that Central PA is not full of dumb rednecks. Which gets harder to do every year. From throwing beers at Donny Schatz, to the Beer Hill cheerleaders, and now this?? Starting to really piss me off. PA used to be known for good rides, good drivers, best fans. Now we're known for punk ass redneck fans and declining rides and drivers. And don't even get me started on PA speedweek racing twice at 3 different tracks. I can't wait to get to Knoxville.

Keep packing the stands baby
DD and squad are just picking up where Jeff Shepard left off, and Rahmer is the commonality is both cases.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car

I definitely arched an eyebrow when I saw this year's speedweek schedule. Not a lot of variety going on there.
As far as Knoxville goes.... 41 days and counting until I leave.

Couldn't have said it better. That's exactly how I feel. No coincidence all of this is happening a week before Fred's big Speedweek show at Path Valley & just today, Rahmer Promotions announced their "Anybody but Dietrich" bounty. It's a shame that in Central PA, we now have to resort to WWE tactics instead of good, hard, exciting racing to sell tickets in the age of dirty air & cushion free skating rinks masquerading as dirt tracks. If this keeps up, Posse land is destined to become the Bowman Gray of the North & at that point, most of the race fans will be doing other things on the weekends while the stands are filled with dumb drunk rednecks who could give a shit less about actual racing because they'd much rather fist fight over whose driver is less dirty & heave beer cans at the "bad guy".

Central pa and bowman gray don't belong in the same sentence. Central pa will always have more class
this is what the sport needs...DD puts butts in the seats. Like it or not.

DD definitively puts butts in the seats and is the type of driver that's good for the sport - sometimes outspoken who can back it up on the track and is great with fans in the pits (yep, read that last part again. If you've ever approached DD in the pits, especially if you have young kids, he's great with fans)....
Yeah, Gary yelling "F...." and it being caught on the PA system is, ummmm...not the best look. I understand it was an exciting race that was probably awesome for the car owner so I actually appreciate the excitement and have no problems with the statement Gary said to DD. Just sucks it got picked up on the PA. The optics are bad. You can say maybe that's better said/left for when they get back to the hauler, but this was heat of the moment type stuff so again I don't have a problem with it. It was just unfortunate it got picked up.
Rahmer Productions creating a bounty or manufacturing a rivalry may not be in the best taste, but they're business people. I don't have to like it to undersatand their motivation to do this. Not like it's out of character for Fred to do it either
