The Moody Mile 1994 Billy Pauch ran it at 144.59 moh and 24.82 seconds.  He dominated and decimated the WOO and had to ask after the race "Does this count as a World Of Outlaws Win"  That guy could flat out drive any car at any track at any time.  He is being inducted into the Northeast Modified Hall Of Fame In New Your This year

That record will last for ever cause the Moody Mile is no longer there.

You are Correct -- Its a shame that the Moody Mike is gone Same dam f-ing thing happen to Flemington F-ing builders and Malls -- I still refuse to go to Loews or Wal-Mart in flemington that is where the track should be -- But that World record would be really hard to beat that was something to see.  He actually during the race twice lapped half the field first time took 8 laps 2nd time was 6 laps -- that is flat out flying imn a Race

Awesome weekend for sure. He was actually in Blaney's road In the race.  The Ford was beside him very late.

I think you mean Blaneys Ride -- No He was in the ZEMCO #1 the car he ran for 5 or 6 years with the Posse when he wasnt running his Modified,  Last week he  (Pauch) sold the wing off the Zemco #1 for a Driver that was hospitalized (cant remeber the drivers name) and sold Many items to raise money for his medical bills -- The Open House was July 17, Billy Pauch is even a better Person thab=n he is a driver and he is One Hell Of a Driver even today

Not sure what you mean by "road"  But if you are refering to Blaney almost taking the lead then loosing his handling then yes you are correct ( I never heard of the term "road) in the in the almost 40 yrs I have been around racing and building Race Cars

That would be some MSPN misinformation. Pauch's world record on the Syracuse Mile of 24,889 seconds in 1994 was never broken. Pauch broke Sammy Swindell;s Syracuse track record, not the other way around.

It is just awful what the state did to a place that hosted auto racing events for 112 years. Then to top it all off, the state did not even hold up its end of the bargain with regard to providing the money promised to build the new track (Central New York Raceway Park) to host Super DIRT Week this year.

The history of American auto racing passed through the Syracuse Mile over those 112 years. It was where 1922 Indy 500 winner Jimmy Murphy met his untimely end two years after winning Indy and hosted dozens of Indy 500 competitors in the decades that followed.

As I Replied earlier -- Billy Pauch took it from Sammy -- I believe Sammy held it of 7 years prior though

As much as I hate what the state did to Syracuse, the stuff going on a CNYRP is not the state's fault.  As good as a promoter as Donnelly once was, he has a bit of the snake oil salesman in him to.  There was no way, even with the state money that that track was going to be ready this Fall, and apparently a number of the other investors dried up.  The state actually seems to have made a good decision of not pouring the money down a black hole until they get some certainty that it won't stay a black hole.  The state is also footing a good portion of the bill on getting things Super Dirt week ready in Oswego.   Again, I am not a fan of the state government or what they did to the fairgrounds, but I doubt its even a 50/50 proposition that CNYRP ever gets finished.

Outlaw sprintcars on a dirt mile was as cool as life gets. I didnt make it till the last year in 95. Little did i know it was soon to be gone. Very fitting that the Ford was the car to beat at the biggest baddest track every year from 92 till the end.  Magic gone forever in every way.....
