I think Hawker is correct...did Gordon ever qualify on Posse Soil?

Gordon had a pair of top 10's in the Selinsgrove open back in 89-90 when that was one of the biggest races in the country(50G to win). I believe he was only 16-17 years old at the time.

Well, here's something that may make you cry. When I was at Knoxville for the Late Model Nationals, I noticed quite a few cars, Johnathan Davenport for one, that had Roush-Yates Engine decals on their cars but had the Toyoter Camry decals on the noses and a big Toyota decal on the rear spoiler. Think about that for a while..........................................

They are Ford powered. And yes it is a shame. If people loved what is left of our country and bought products from US companies that made us and saved us, Toyota wouldn't have money to burn on Ford powered 15 feet wide late models.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

If the American companies hadn't turned their back on their employees, and shipped all the jobs to other countries, Toyota wouldn't have had to come in and provide all those people with the jobs that were stolen away.

sometimes just to stay in business and keep the people that continue to be employed by a company in the states, they have to find a way to be competitive in the market.

if they can't be competitive in the market, they don't survive, and then they employ no one. then distributors and other vendors are impacted as well.

to indy and beyond!!

Unions gave all the Mexicans jobs. Henry warned us from the beginning.

Union vs Lost Jobs, bla, bla, bla... Does anyone KNOW for sure the sprint car actually is powered by Toyota? If a Camry can have a Ford motor, then who really knows whats beneath the Toyota decal on the hood of his sprinter.

Well, there are Roush-Yates Chevy engines out there, too.

The "next Jeff Gordon" says Despain but struggles to qualify in central PA. Despain also says NASCAR plate stuff is not racing. Good show tonight.

I say central PA should be covered weekly in USA Today. Larson dominates everywhere and struggles to keep pace with our part time racers.

I dont recall seeing any PA. racers running without a patio roof over their heads---and winning! I also dont recall seeing any PA drivers winning a prelim at the Knoxville Nationals this year. I never recalled any PA. racers winning the Belleville Midget Nationals. PA. racers are tough in PA. because they are good players but they also know the tracks very well...If Kyle Larson run for a month in PA. I bet he would be able to compete----even in a Ford.

No I think it was the white collar criminals like Romney and Bush that are responsible for sending our jobs overseas. Anything to make a buck, or a few hundred million. Bush was in every 3rd world country during his presidencey peddling jobs away to the lowest bidder. Romney would do the same. His record at Bain capital is appalling.

There are several Toyota powered non wing cars in CA. 40 and 44 come to mind. Won at Irwindale a couple years back.
