I doubt Stewart wants to ruin a good thing. Unless Flo buys Eldora I can't see them blocking the Outlaws from sanctioning the Kings Royal. I also can't imagine the WoO wouldn't have a response to it. It wouldn't be entirely effective and would hurt the WoO more than it would Eldora but there would be a response.
But I do agree with you, if HL ever wants to become the dominant brand, they need a crown jewel.

When Chaz intereviewed Smoke, he seemed to be very warm towards the HL series, so it would not surprise me in the least if Brad and Flo try to pry it away. I'm not at all in favor of that happening, but it just seems like the most obvious crown jewel to "steal" without attempting to create their own.

It will be a #15. Not sure how that's spiteful though. #15 is Schatz's historical number so it's not really a surprise.
TSR is keeping the #15 on their car to finish out the year for the owner's title and will more than likely change to #14 or #20 next year according to Tony's interview with Flo.

WoO, teams, and drivers don't 'own' a number. I believe if you add a letter to the number and make it something like 15s or 15d, in the eyes of the scorers it becomes a new car number.

Yes I agree. But when you register your team for the season you also register your number. When two teams have the same number I'm sure the platinum WoO car won't be asked to add a letter for the event. The new guy, one off etc will be the one changing. TSR has 15 for the season if they want it. I'm sure they could add a M for Madsen in respect to Donny but I don't think they would be obligated to

I don't disagree. Schatz would probably need to add a letter to the #15 to make the powers that be happy.
