Didn't know kofoid was crying about it afterwards blaming courtney. Seriously man, you completely cut the corner to even be in position to torpedo him because you were out of control. He should have been disqualified for running thru the infield.

Buddy stepped on his dick.  He drove through the infield, wheelied, pushed up the racetrack and drove into the back of Courtney's left rear. Was Tyler supposed to just pull over and let him through?

If the infield tires don't matter everyone will be running inside them.

I was at a SOD show at Hartford Michigan in the early eighties and passed John Naida for the last transfer spot in the heat race. They came over and talked with me later. They didn't penalize me but made it well known to never do it again.

Gib Wiser passed me on the bottom of Sun Prarie to win the feature one night. They used to have grass and a little wooden fence 8' from the track. He put it right in there and won while I finished second. I still feel I was robbed from that one.

So Buddy isn't the first to do it, won't  be the last, but they need to enfore it.

I'd say 70 Kofoid/30 Sunshine.  Racing deal, but Buddy moved up more than Sunshine moved down.

After watching a couple of angles I would say more like 99 to 1. And many are right you don't win point titles with moves like that. If winning races is your only goal you might pick up a couple driving like that. He does have time to figure that out.

If Kofoid keeps wrecking cars he wont be driving for Roth long.

1.  If my memory serves me correctly, Buddy wrecks much less than he did in the beginning with Roth

2.  If Roth didn't fire McFadden, he certainly isn't going to fire Buddy

...which is why he went on the offensive blaming Tyler.

That raises a good question. If Buddy won, would he have been disqualified?

This is a good question, and after watching the replay, I would say yes.  And I don't think he would have had to win.  The funny thing is everyone is accusing the World of Outlaws of favoritism for not disqualfying him----but he wrecked a few hundred feet later!  They didn't even have a chance.

Edit:  I'd better clarify before I get in trouble.  I didn't say anyone on HOSEHEADS said this.  I'm watching all other sources of social media as well.  (Before I get yelled at by those that don't access these other sites.)

Most likely not. He did not advance his postion as Macedo was a lapped car. Whether you agree or not the notion that he was forced to the infield by a lapped car is probable.

These two do not play nice together.  I read the other day that one of Buddy's ex GFs hooked up with Tyler.

Not sure there needs to be any narrative, it seems pretty clear to me that the only person potentially driving into someone is Kofoid after he hit the infield tire and got the front end in the air and shot up the track. Might be the angle, but it honestly doesn't even look like Courtney is that far off the wall when contact is made.

I think it's probably more racing deal than anything, but if there's blame I don't know how Sunshine takes the majority when Buddy's way out of sorts after scouring the infield for rocks.

Question for someone who has driven a sprint car. Looking at the video above, if Courtney hadn't been where he was, would Kofoid's trajectory taken him right up into the wall?

To answer your last question, because the entirety of this forum is a WoO circle jerk. Racing deal at worst. Buddy's fault and I'm sure he'd be the first to own it after seeing the replay.

I think he'd have been ok if Courtney wasn't there because the car was starting to settle down and he was quite a ways from the wall. Yes, I have turned quite a few laps in my life and have done many stupid things like Kofoid did. Years ago if you weren't at the track you just never would have known about it.

Bottom line.....if Kofoid would have not have cut through the infield the lapped cars would have prevented him from even getting close to Courtney. He'd have finished second and would have been so much better off.

20 years racing experiance. Not sprint car, but an upper class. No he would not hit the wall. You do not want to enter a corner below the halfway line on the track. The fasest way around a track is to make it as muchbas a circle as you can. The next time you go to the races, watch how many cars are below the halfway line of the track when they get to the flagstand. The answer will be none unless they are forced to be there by another car. Buddy was very low on the track he would be trying to make his way up the track to navigate the corner in the fastest way possible. This incident was just an incident where buddy wheelied and lost the front end but was not to the point of having to lift and sunshine diving to the bottom at the same time. It is very likely that sunshine never saw buddy as he was slightly ahead. Thats the best way i could explain my perspective of it.

To eliminate confusion of where i consider entering the corner is and you consider entering the corner is, ill state it like this. If your below the halfway point of the track width at the midway point of the straightway, you corner speed is comprimised, MOST of the time.

Notice in the video in this post everyone heading for the top half of the track after coming out of the corner

So Buddy is okay with throwing a dirty slider at Brian Brown like he did tonight @ Knoxville, but he's gonna whine about Sunshine?? Yeah...

Did you miss the true dick move that Brown did to Kofoid the lap before. Brown got back what he what he was looking for.  Brown sure seems to have run out of talent and frustrated that he pretty much sucks outside of Knoxville, and now sucks there too.

Timms should go and punch Macedo in the face for his dick move too. Dann near took both of them out.

That's one of the problems.....Nobody gets punched in the face for doing dick moves anymore.

I agree with you on that, back in the day when you could punch someone in the mouth there was a lot less of these a##hole moves that happen today.
