That had very little to do with format and everything to do with a racetrack that those guys could race on. These are the best guys arguably in the business. When you give them something to race on like that they will. From outlaws all the way down to grassroots local level, these racers just want to race and will almost always put on a great show, given a surface that you can do that on. Seems so simple, yet the very basics of a great racetrack is a lost art it would seem.

I'm sure you're right. Track prep is all important, wish all the tracks had it down

Its a mystery to me, tho

Obviously not "so simple"....

my non wing fans in so cal, would just say, that track was dry slick, and wing drivers can not drive non wing cars.

 

PLS don't confuse me with socal non wing fans, I'm fan of all sprint car racing, pavement/dirt, 360/410/305 dirt and wing and non wing.  From that clip, hell of a race and congrats to the big cat on another win.

 

Yeah the big boys coming to CA soon for a few months, get to check out the new format myself at Tulare and possibley Oildale  :)
