Even if a team didn't transfer to any A mains they received $300 a night for a total of $1500 for the week. I give Cocopah credit for paying that well for non-qualifiers.

Add a $1000 on Hodnett for having most heat & qualifiers points for the week.
Was talk of purse increase for next year.

Pit passes were $30 per person per night if the car was pre-registered, otherwise the pit pass was $40.00 per person, per night. I do not know what front gated tickets were.

Its not always the money but nice to see the NSL and Badlands offering higher purses.$3000 to win is not enough as it costs $1000 just to show up and race at Knoxville.Tires, engine upkeep, pit passes, fuel, and salaries plus hope you dont tear up much equiptment.Races during the slow time of the season seem to be able to get the top name drivers and races like the Chili Bowl where the trophy and prestige are more important than the purse are very few. To get that many open wheel midget drivers together and they are happy to be there is a promoters dream. In their defense it cost alot to host an indoor race and make that kind of track every year.PPV and TV are big just a shame all that good air time goes to NASCAR.
