Slack used tongue in cheek sarcasm in his statement which I applaud him for. Were I in the same position it would have sounded more like this "Fuck the MLBP! I'd rather watch paint dry than a baseball game."

The MLB's All-Star Game is also known as the Midsummer Classic. MLB apparently felt that Mudsummer Classic was too close to Midsummer Classic.

I'll take baseball over NASCAR any day. Even NASCAR on Dirt. That said, the controversy over the name is bullshit. I don't see at all how anything was hurt or even changed by the similarity of the 2 names. I guess even some rich people are constantly looking for something to bitch about.
