This will b our 1st STN and we r picking up out tix Wednesday. My question is.... Is this like most other events we've been too? If we get there early and strap down a seat cushion ( or something) on Wednesday will we b good for that seat the rest of the week? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It should be good. Bring insulated coveralls, a rain suit, and a light jacket as you will probably need them all. Be prepared for some incredible racing!

Of course there are no guarantees someone won't remove your cushion or whatever, but you should be OK.

My suggestion (that has worked for me, LOL) is bring a roll of packing tape with you and tape the daylights out of it.

But if you've never been there before, I would suggest sitting in a bunch of places before you plant your final spot. There are no bad spots there, but you might find one vantage point that you like better than others.

Low off of corner 4 is fun because the cars are right in front of you, but then you may be eating some dirt/dust on occasion. Sitting high on the corners is good too as you can see the whole track without having to be out of your visual range...and things happen quickly there, so you don't want to miss anything.

Have a great time & dress warmly.

Did they ever put a catch fence in turn 2 or will they have a med-evac helicopter parked close by to pick up the casualties????
