I'm headed out to the National Open Benefit for the first time this year.  It always seems to coincide with the first day of archery season, so I never go.  This year I am forgoing the opening day of archery and heading to Mechanicsburg.  With all that said, I'll just ask some general questions to get the

How many people usually show up?  Places to park? Hows the food?  Whats the auction like?  Does the auction take credit cards or only cash?  Any other information about topics that I'm forgetting to address would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

The national open weekend is a great time. Parking wont be a issue. The benefit is right near the back pits along the road. You wont miss it. Its a cash only event. They usually have a chicken bbq going on.  We also have keg kickball Maryland Vs. Beerhill Gang goin on at noon in the backstretch parking lot. Its a great weekend to attend!

The auction has some great stuff!! But people pay entirely too much for the stuff that you don't even want to continue bidding.  A Pat Cannon wing panel went for 350$ last year.

i get how donating for charity is a good thing, and i've purchased things at the kick it cup in knoxville (with in reason finacally) the jackson nationals benifit went way above the prices "normal everyday race fans" could afford. i believe Rico Abreu racing won all 3 drivers suits, just for the fact that us everyday fans that attend races cant compete with Rico's budget. didn't Joey Saldana purchase his own helmet at the kick it cup?
