Could not hurt but I would say that Friday night is about 60% full.

No need to pre purchase tickets.. Plenty of seats on Friday nights.

We have never bought reserved tickets for either night of the King's Royal. Never had an issue but I don't need to be near the top of the grand stand to have a good time. That track is a big old bowl so even low grandstand seats are good.
