TOO MUCH RAIN for PANHANDLE to HANDLE - NEXT RRS RACE FRI. 5/29

Wichita Falls, TX (5/23/15) by DarinShort.com. The highly anticipated Panhandle 30 at Red River Speedway (RRS) has fallen to heavy rain and local flooding. Upwards of an additional 4" of precip is forecast between now and the originally scheduled race time, which was Sunday May 24 (tomorrow).

With the Sunday May 24th event being rained out, the next scheduled race at Red River Speedway will be Friday, May 29th.

All six RRS racing divisions will be in action: Sprint Cars, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, IMCA Southern Sport Mods, Mini Stocks and Pro Stocks. Racing will fire up at 8pm.

Additional details of Friday's race will be posted early next week.

Race fans and teams: sometimes these extreme weather events happen, but we're not going to let it get us down. As soon as the pattern shifts, we'll get back to racing and you can be assured that we'll continue to bring you events such as the Panhandle 30. We're already looking at replacement dates and other options.

We'll post updates at our Facebook page and http://www.RRSpeedway.com early next week. Until then, be safe out there, as there is a lot of flooding and evacuations taking place in the area.
