I have an old Halibrand quick change rearend. It came with no gears. It has a 10 spline shafts. I bought some gears and put them in it. The lower shaft is tapered and gear fits fine, but the upper shaft has no taper and gear slides and rides against bolts holding pinion gear. Someone told me there should be a spacer in there. If so  where can you purchase these or should I just make one.
