Friday's forecast sucks, but Saturday looks really good. Please, please don't cancel both nights.

We had a pretty good rain here in Dallas today. Forecast calls for more of the same Wed, Thurs, and Friday.

Looks like it's definitely going to rain, I would assume WoO have a back up plan in case the pits are flooded.

The odds are not good....I'm 25 minutes from the track and the ground here is saturated... http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Fate&state=TX&site=FWD&textField1=32.9408&textField2=-96.3863&e=0#.VTf9Mq1Viko

I just hope they have a better plan for those of us camping in the upper pits than they did last year. They made me leave the pits before i could unhook from the trailer and then told me to wait in the parking lot a few hours before I could get back in because the pit pass i had were only good once the grandstands opened.

If weather radar is accurate, probably raining pretty hard at the track right now...

I think it started raining here around 1am and is pretty much wrapped up now, which is 7am. NOAA is reporting at the airport (right there in Mesquite) that .65" fell overnight... http://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KHQZ.html Today, storm chances higher to the west, but a fair chance later in the day/tonight. Cantori is thinking that tomorrow is a TOR:CON of 5 for DFW as it blows through, which they're currently showing finishing by 7pm Friday. Then that's it for the weekend. Very warm and breezy both Sat/Sun...but that doesn't necessarily mean there will be no problem. It all depends on how much additional precip falls, as the pits at many tracks will be the issue.

Obviously no one on this thread has any regards for the drivers and crew involved to put on the show, let alone the team owners. Do any of you realize how much is tied up in equipment to keep these guys rolling up and down the road? Do you think they want to bury their trucks and trailers knowing well in advance what the conditions are? Are any of you going to be there to pull these huge rigs in and out of the pit area? Do you understand how difficult this is to do? Everyone already knows the ground is saturated. The best thing to do at this point is post-pone the event and move on. Do the fans want to see races this weekend? Yes. Does any part of trying to get the show in this weekend make sense? No. I can understand why the fans want this to happen, but if they would actually think this through, they would realize it is nothing but a disaster in the making. Just my 2 cents worth.

Not quite sure I understand what you're ranting about here. As best I can tell everyone here would like for it to stop raining and for everything to be in good shape and most of all, see a dang race. As fans we've already lost the Spring Nationals. I don't usually go to weekly shows, so forgive me for wanting to see this race happen. If it rains out and they reschedule it then fine.
