With the topic of racing perhaps being a little down these days I wonder (from afar) if one of the reasons might be all the great car owners we have lost in the last few years. Long time ones that brought integrity, competition, great looking cars and wins to the sport. A few that come to mind that I miss are Tim Hughes, Bob Kramer and Court Grandstaff, these men were friends of mine and real assets to the sport. I know the Posse has lost some special guys as well with Bob Stewart, Al Hamilton and Joe Harz, anyone care to add some people you feel have made a difference or contribution and are no longer around. Have at it, Take It Easy.....

PS Heck, we could add Sammy to that list as well, love him or hate him, the sport misses him.....

What ever happened to the Motter brothers? I guess they quit after Wolfgang's second bad crash at Granite City? They won a few races along the way with Kenny Jacobs and Stevie Smith. That bright yellow 71m always stood out in the field.

...Kamshaft beat me to it...Mr. Bob Hampshire...the list of drivers, and the races won in the #63 car is incredible...I was lucky enough to take the near 4 hour ride to K-C a couple years ago with Mr. Hampshire...I will never forget how great it was to hear a legendary car owner share some of his favorite memories...anyone ever heard of Jack Hewitt ?...LOL...

I don't know that he physically owned a single car however, many a wing wore a JWH strawberry!

Is Elden still around? I know there is a yellow 22 with the same number style, but I didn't think it was his...

Cahill Racing (can't remember first name) used to field one or two cars @ Knoxville, heard he now owns an IRL team?

Dave Blaney...why isn't he still fielding a car, especially with Tony and Kasey giving back so much to sprint car racing. Maybe he is over in Ohio/PA...anybody know?

What really happened to Two Winners Racing? They used to field the 7tw, 8tw, and 9tw. I'm not sure that the 7tw driven by Wimmer currently is same owner as yesteryear...anyone know?

Gil Sonner, Chuck Merrill, Bob Trostle,

Would love to see Max Dumnesney bring a team or two back stateside,
