Just arrived home from an evening of racing at Valvoline Raceway in Sydney, Australia.
There were 49 410's in the pits which meant that we had a 'C' Feature, a 'B' Feature and an 'A' Feature that was stacked with stong cars. We also had the 2 lap 'Pole Shuffle' to determine the starting order of the top 8 cars for the 'A'.
The 'A' Feature was simply fantastic. James McFadden and Australian Champion David Murcott swapped the lead more times than I can remember. They used every part of the track to work their way through traffic. In the end James prevailed but Murky gave it everything that he had. The fans on the hill got to enjoy fantastic wheel-to-wheel racing.
The racing started on time and the 'A' was completed at 9:30 PM.
The Australian Grand Prix for F1 cars will be held tomorrow in Melbourne. The race will probably be decided by pit strategy and there will be very little passing. The fans will not see racing like we enjoyed this evening in Sydney !
