WTG RYAN This kid is a class act. Been watching him quietly kick @ss all year long. A few weeks back drove his midget from the back to the front at P-Ville all to have it taken away when the last lap did not count due to curfew and a red flag. Not to mention a couple of outstanding finishes this year in Hovey's 410 Winged Car at Chico. Does anybody know if he will run Gold Cup? woo hoo only 14 days and counting Chico or Bust!!!!!!!

As a longtime fan of the USAC Pavement Sprint Cars that was one of the most exciting races I have ever seen.Kaplan drove one hell of a race as he made the top work right at the end of the race.Ryan bounced back from earlier getting taken out in the heat race by Jojo Helberg and had to make major repairs.Helberg also spun out Nick Green who was very fast in the main. This seems to be a common occurance with Helberg as he is the one who put the Bailey kid over the fence at Madera in the worst crash Ive ever seen(luckily he was not seriously injured). After he spun out Green the other night I was surprised he wasnt black flagged ,USAC needs to do something to calm him down.

I was there the Sprints and the Roadsters which are based out of Eureka put on an excellent show.. Just wondering why no one showed up to watch the races.. About 400 fans in the stands, never seen a crowd that small at a race in my life..

Ryan has a big race on the Saturday night of Gold Cup that he can't miss because of points. We would LOVE to have him in our car for Gold Cup, we are trying to figure out a way to run him at least the Thur or Fri premlim's.
Ryan will be in our car this Friday night at Chico, the winged 410 sprint.
The "kid" is just too amazing, I watched Kasey Kahne grow up and race and I thought he was awfully good, about the best talent I had seen in a long while. But I can tell you this, I have NEVER seen anyone with the natural talent to go from one kind of a car to another and drive them ALL like he has been racing in each class for 20 years or more!! I just have a hard time believing the amount of time he has spent in the different types of cars that he HASN'T been driving them for years.
In 61 years of racing I have never seen anyone like Ryan, he can just drive the wheels off anything and WIN. This kid deserves a HUGE break, someone would be VERY smart to get him in a 410 sprint here!!!!!!!!!!!

The USAC sprints usually put on a pretty good show at Altamont, and an even better one at Madera. As for why the crowd may have been small...Might have something to do with the admission price- Was Altamont charging $25-30 to get in on Saturday? I do like going to Altamont to see the sprint cars, but, the amount they charge to get in , for food, and now charging for parking as well? That's enough to give me second thoughts. If I am spending that much, I'll wait till the Harvest at Madera....

$25.00 for adults, $20.00 for seniors.. $5.00 donation for parking which goes to youth organizations (that's ok)..No extra charge for the wind storms that happen quite often.. Ticket prices i don't think are the problem, however if anyone has ever has been to dollar day promotions at horse tracks or A's baseball you know that the hotdog is about the size of your small finger, that is the size hotdogs they have for $4.00 there food stands are a ripe off IMO.. These are the people that are suppose to be the owners of that new super Riverside Raceway Park in Merced.. Good Luck.. Yes i will be back again in the future, but with a full belly..

Yes I was one of the 400 fans in attendance and by the main event the wind must have been 50mph.The great racing made up for it though.
